An electrician was installing fixtures Monday night. When I asked “when open” the reply was “maybe one week.”

  2. I dont know where to post my question so i post it here. If it on wrong place, please ignore it. I am in Bangkok now and plan to go Phnom Penh through Ban Packard/ Phsar Prum in couple of weeks. As far as I know, on that route, i have to pass Chantaburi (or Chathaburi) so i decide to stay 2 nights there (or cut shorter if 1 night enough for the town). Not taking this route before plus all info i got from internet is sadly out of date. I have two questions in need of your help. 1. What's Chantaburi's gay scene like? (sauna, pub.. or any place where can meet people...). I will stay in a hostel near Chathaburi bus terminal so any chances for activities there? …

Living here is getting to be a severe problem. The Thai government appears to want to make it as difficult as they can for expats to reside in Thailand. More laws to cause us problems such as TM30, 90 day reporting and other harassment in acquiring a visa extension. The documentation they require is now about 8 pages and some they make you sign are exclusively in Thai language and you don't know what you are signing. What I really do not understand is WHY. Most of us spend a lot of money here but they continue to pile on problems for us. It is much better to just visit for a limited time. Come for a couple of weeks and go home to the West. You don't have a se…

Maybe everyone already knows this place, but it was new to me. A boy I know from ex soi Twilight Hotmale host bar told me he'd start working here after the demise of Twilight. I was there a few weeks ago (August) and saw he and several other hosts are indeed working at Welcome Bar. It's almost directly across from Jupiter. Good place. Are there other host bars in Bangkok now?

One of my favorite burger joints is Fatty's Bar. The burgers are excellent and the other food is also great. I like their pizza as well. Their sliders are great as are their chicken tenders and onion rings. Their pastrami is one of my favs! They deliver via Lineman to all areas as well (Food Panda to some areas). If you are in Bangkok, give them a test run as it is really great food! https://www.facebook.com/fattysbardiner/ 598/66 asoke-dindaeng road Bangkok, Thailand 10400

Hey guys, so I've been to bangkok several times since my virgin trip in 2014, but it's always refreshing to visit again and write posts when im resting in my hotel in between breaks heh.. Day 1 Okay bad day, so apparently flights landing in Bangkok at prime time of about 11-12pm costs $150+ more than landing at 7pm, but because my hotel is about $100 /night, I decided to book a flight a day earlier, landing at bad timing of 7pm ( i still save money even though i have to stay an extra night), and thought I may have an extra night of debauchary. But I had a bad headache on Day 1 and spent it sleeping it off in my hotel room boo =( Day 2 Off i head…

  8. I met up with a friend last night for some gallivanting around the city. As he is only in town for a few days and we have similar tastes, the bar choices were easy. We started at Screwboy and had a nice time. There were several cute guys there, not too many customers and no pressure at all to buy someone a drink. However, I did find a cute Cambodian I liked and had a drink with him. He was sweet and conversational. We then went over to Fresh Boys (I think that was the name. The 2nd Floor bar near Screwboys) and they had a plethora of cute guys. There were many that caught my attention and an old mamasan from Pattaya I knew so I had fun. We then went to Lucky Boys. There…

  9. From Bloomberg, September 6, 2019: From quiet beaches in Bali to empty rooms in Hanoi’s hotels, pangs from China’s economic malaise and weakening yuan are being felt across Southeast Asia’s vacation belt. A boom in Chinese outbound travel in recent years that stoked tourism across Southeast Asia is now in reverse gear. The abrupt decline of Chinese travelers is becoming a painful lesson for nations such as Thailand and Indonesia that had become overly dependent on Asia’s top economy. “The slump in Chinese arrivals and tourism spending is being felt throughout the region,” said Kampon Adireksombat, Bangkok-based head of economic and financial market research…

Hello all. This is my first time posting after discovering this amazing community about a year ago. I’ve enjoyed reading all the trip reports, informative articles and even the reviews on local hotspots. I’ve enjoyed them so much that I even booked my trip to Bangkok in September. I will be there the entire month. Although I’m saddened that I couldn’t enjoy the famous soi Twilight, I’m excited to see what this new soi has in store. This will be my first time visiting the land of smiles and I’m equally thrilled as I am nervous to explore Bangkok. With that being said, if anyone is in Bangkok around that time and would like to show this newbie around, it would b…

Upcoming vacation in Pattaya. Have stayed only @ LCR for last 14 trips and the closest I can be at home is at the Copa. Would the noise from their new neighbor be intolerable? Wish to help out Boystown but not at the expense of my sleep too many nights.

Thai health officials hope to give smokers--and would-be smokers--a moment of pause. From Coconuts Bangkok Starting next month, colorful cigarette packaging will be replaced by logo-free, drab brown boxes as Thailand becomes the first country in Southeast Asia to implement standardized packaging to discourage smoking. In addition to graphic health warnings covering 85 percent of the front and back of the box, the new “plain packaging ” requirements mean brand names must be printed in a standardized typeface, size, color and location. No other colors or logos will be allowed. The new regulations were adopted two years ago in the revised Tobacco Co…

  15. I got back from a two-week trip to Thailand and have felt a deep postpartum ever since. I miss the food, the street life, the boys, the sense of adventure, the shows, the massages -- all of it. In an attempt to soothe myself... I have re-read everyone's sexual escapades on the forum. I have watched every Thai porn vid on Pornhub. I've tried to recreate Thai food on my own. I've cruised the boys in Thai Town in Los Angeles. I've gone to the cruisy Korean spas, in an attempt to replicate Babylon. However, I am still missing Thailand dearly. Are there other websites, video sites, places you go, things you do in order to hold onto that…

From the Scientific American Massive Study Finds No Single Genetic Cause of Same-Sex Sexual Behavior Few aspects of human biology are as complex—or politically fraught—as sexual orientation. A clear genetic link would suggest that gay people are “born this way,” as opposed to having made a lifestyle choice. Yet some fear that such a finding could be misused “cure” homosexuality, and most research teams have shied away from tackling the topic. Now, a new study claims to dispel the notion that a single gene or handful of genes make a person prone to same-sex behavior. The analysis, which examined the genomes of nearly half a million men and women, found that a…

I learned so much from the "airline strategies" thread that I thought this might yield so very hard to acquire - reality-based -information from those who do it all the time. I face a thirty hour ( door to door ) travel time and a 12 hour time difference. How do you best cope with that? One thing I do is head for Cutey Beauty ( In Bangkok ) for a full treatment from facial to foot massage and then force myself to stay awake until a reasonable ( early say 11 pm) bedtime. But, how to the rest of you treat jet lag?

Once in a while I check a website called bangkokeyes.com to see the latest nightlife news. The August 2019 edition has a few snippets about Chill Out Boy Bar in Patpong 1 being closed with a photo. It also mentions Bangkok Massage moving from Soi Twilight to Patpong 2 (with photo), and this - "The newly relocated (from Soi Twilight 2 months ago) Hotmale Bar Beer is in the process of renaming themselves the Midnite. Located next to Pinocchios. We'll attempt to get some comprehensive pics next issue.... " If you've never visited bangkokeyes, take a look. It's predominantly aimed at the straight nightlife venues, but they don't discriminat…

  22. I spent two long weekends in Bangkok this month and has a blast, per usual. I have received so much guidance from you gents over the years, and wanted to share some of my own experiences... HOTELS Le Siam Hotel https://www.lesiamhotel.com/ I love this little hotel. Great location - next to Silom Complex and just five minutes from the main action. Amazing food on the street outside the hotel. Clean, comfortable rooms. No issues with guests. Amazing breakfast. My new favorite! The Tarntawan Hotel Surawong Bangkok I needed to book a hotel quick and saw a forum headline about this hotel. Ugh. I should have read further. The hotel is very old and dingy …

  23. Some years ago Shamelessmack put a blog out with lots of info on massage shops in Bangkok, which I found very helpful. A while back I put together a spreadsheet with some updated information. For various reasons that format hasn't really worked for me. Instead, I've updated the information and put it on a blog, which for a few reasons is easier for me. Experienced readers/users can ignore most of it. Actually all are free to ignore all of it. But for the newbies might be some useful info. From Coconuts Bangkok A proposal to extend closing time from midnight to 4am in some areas must be studied before it can go any further, the prime minister said today. Word that the tourism ministry had proposed pushing hours back to early morning to generate revenue created a buzz today, but Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha quickly put the brakes on things. Prayuth said the idea needs to be examined and relevant agencies such as the police or Interior Ministry consulted. He said he was concerned about the safety and well-being of party-goers. Tourist Minister Pipat Ratchakitprakan said the idea was to stimulate the sputtering economy.…

Kinda not too sure where to put this query/posting, so if it belong elsewhere please feel free to move it... and if it does not belong here at all, well, please be kind. So there have been several situations in which I have taken a gentleman along with me for some fun based upon his cute face, his lovely body, sweet personality, you get the picture... but when the big moment comes, there is clearly something BIZARRE going on "down there". I have not known what to call it until I came across a recent posting on shameless blog where the issue was, umhhh... likewise encountered. Two questions: WTF is it??? Is it supposed to be sexy? Erotic? Attractive? Is it j…
