Although there are more than likely a thousand variables involved with getting from Pattaya by car to catch a flight out of Don Muang airport I'm trying to come up with an answer for a friend visiting soon for the first time, and any & all input (well, beggars can't be choosers!) would be appreciated. He'll be catching a flight out of there early on a Sunday afternoon, and the best I've been able to gather so far is to allow five to six hours. That means leaving Pattaya early on Sunday morning, so maybe the worst of the traffic would be in Bangkok itself? I've never made this transfer myself - haven't even been to DMK in seven years.

If he sits down, do I just hand him 100baht and offer to buy a drink? For example, in Moonlight, maybe I should give him 200? But at BoyzTown maybe 100 is okay? I just heard a first hand story of an American farang who gave about $500,000.00 US to a gogo boy at Toy Boys in Pattaya, over a couple of years time span. The farang paid for university fee, private tutoring and amazing $10,000.00 US to get the diploma certificate. The boy convinced the farang it costs $10,000 to obtain. Amazing but true. The boy was very popular and could be seen bringing shorttime customers to Ambiance hotel two or three times a night.

Having survived Christmas and on opening my computer this morning to find messages from several Forum members whom I’ve met with in Thailand over the past few years, I decided to overcome my innate procrastination and write a report on my mid-November to early December visit to Pattaya and Bangkok. I had a lot of fun last night there. For about a thirty second inspection I give twenty baht. I went in with about four hundred baht worth of twenty baht notes(20), and probably spent about 1200 baht altogether on tips handed out. All this over two drink for myself time period. As I ran out of twenties the boys would give me change for a hundred baht note so there was always a fresh supply.
