This is our first trip to Phuket and I would appreciate any advice on a place to stay while there.

I went to Bkk for holiday in August and made some friends there. I got all their names (Romanized and in Thai), their phone-numbers and their emails. To stay in contact until I will be back in January, I stay in loose contact via MSN, gayromeo, and email. Unfortunately, some of them don't answer my emails. So I have to rely on them having the same number and remembering me when I'm back. Do other members have experience with writing emails with Thais (I know from blogs that reading is not popular with Thais, does this apply to writing as well)? Consider a hypothetical excursion up through North Thailand & Laos (or to Vietnam). If the tourist meets nice freelancer on the way through Thailand, is it a good idea to bring him along on the trip? Laos has laws prohibiting Laotians from sleeping with westerners, unless married. Whilst there are some guys on Gay Romeo & apparently a few cruising around Vientiane, the prostitution scene in Laos is quite limited. Seemed like a good time to check out the new Lavender Hotel in Chiang Mai, So I packed up my favorite boy( just in case) from Bangkok and headed to Chiang Mai on Tuesday. Arrived airport 2pm and met promptly by Car from Hotel where check in was fast. I had reserved a Deluxe Queen bedded Room. The room had been renovated and was clean and bright. However the bathroom certainly had see better days and toilet was leaking. Not a good start but I advised front desk and suggested a possible room change while we headed off to check out the Massage Facilities. Hi All, Off to Pattaya over NY's and am enquiring on the appropriate tips for boys in bars and clubs if a) they sit with you and talk, B) maybe while sitting one cops a feel....(or is that inappropriate) and c) if you off a boy what is the normally acceptable tip for short time (over and above the bar fee). I would suppose everyone has their favourite places/areas but as a first timer is there a "must see" bar/club that is iconic to Pattaya; a place which is "the go to bar/club". Perhaps there are too many... Thanks for any direction.

Went to Tawan with three friends on Tuesday night. The show was an abbreviated version of the ones I've seen on a weekend night but still OK. The boys showed all they have and even some fucking and sucking. Had a lot of fun while seated on the first row from the stage. Never have picked up one of those muscle boys but sure would like to try one. Also went to Future Boys but it was dismal at the late show since we were the only people in the place. They did put on a short fuck show for us. That's the report!

Was shocked to actually see boys animated and dancing in Starboy Bar last night! A nice selection of guys - if you want big butch move the furniture type guys then don't go in but if nice Thai twinkie type is your go this will fill the bill. If you are a smoker Kawaii is your bar, seems like when the Japanese customers are there smoking is the norm. Bubbles had quite a few boys dancing but the lighting is not to my old eyes liking = could not see the boys well. Then retreated to Sunee and had a good time.

I was in Funny Boys and saw that in the last few days they have added a few new boys. One of them starts tonight (Friday) on his 18 birthday. I was at Funny Boys for Loy Katrong and amazed at the number of guys I saw offed in just the 45 minutes I was there. I recall 5 offed in that short time.

Spent 4 nights at Pattaya. Stayed at the new Dusit D2 on Pattaya 2 Road. I got a good off season rate even though it was November of 2590 baht ++ I checked the same room in January will be 6000 baht. Very stylistic ,unusual rooms. Mirrors on one wall glass enclosure for shower soyou can watch or there is a curtain if shy. No problem with guests. Much of the staff is gay and very helpful. Breakfast buffet is excellent but mainly Western. Met some boys from Gayromeo so not a lot of bar hopping. Krazy Dragon has been re-decorated and have a lot of cute boys who are fun and of course the prices are quite reasonable. #1 Boy in Day Night is big and had about 20 b…
