    Thank you.

I am glad  you have figured out that Russia's occupation of Ukraine is bad.  Can you now convince your butcher/sadist leader of that?

In terms of a double standard - yes, you do have a double standard, as @Marc in Calif has noted.  Why are you a hypocrite that supports a butcher/sadist?

I despise both Netanyahu and Putin.  They both killed peace.  Netanyahu killed peace in Israel, and Putin killed peace in Ukraine.

That said, as a butcher Netanyahu does not measure up to Putin.  Putin has killed maybe 500,000 Ukrainian soldiers, and turned hundreds of thousands of his own people into fertilizer.  Just because he is a butcher, and he can.  So I can be against both butchers.  And I am.  Why aren't you?  Why do you support a butcher and sadist who engages in mass slaughter, while going after Israel?

The double standard is yours, @Moses.  Go ahead and call out Israel all you want.  But the way Putin butchers soldiers, women, and children is even worse.

Putin has turned Russia into a gas station and butcher shop.  Other than that, your economy sucks.  Xi Whiz is playing your butcher leader to be his strong man and sadist.  But don't be surprised down the line when Xi Whiz finds it convenient to abandon your butcher and sadist.  Even Xi Whiz, let alone Putin, can't change the fact that the US came out of COVID the strongest economy in the world.  Notice how the Dow just broke records, while your economy is a dumpster fire?  And everyone smart who can is leaving Russia, since they don't want to be Russian fertilizer.

You might want to think about your double standard.  It is not working well for you, or Russia.

Steven, you are brilliant and agree wholeheartedly. However, you will never convince some people of the truth. Two things can be true at the same time. Yes, Putin is a butcher. Yes, some of his people love him. I don't know what that says about them but it says a lot of following leaders regardless of their decisions. I am a true pacifist and hate all war. But, others things that a strong leader is one who kills or berates their enemy.

    TotallyOz, I m really curious:

How can one feel safe after being robbed at gun point 3 times?

I mean, at the very least u must feel that it can happen again. That's the definition of NOT feeling safe; isnt it?

Furthermore, who's to say that on the 4th time the gun won't go on?

I've been to brazil 3 times and to clmbia - 4. I like them, not only for the sex.

M quite sure that if I was gun robbed once - I wldnt return )-:

Can't answer your question other than I think the economy was really bad and two of the robberies happened near ATMs and I had been warned to be careful.

The only time I ever felt unsafe was with @floridarob when he had me walking the streets late one night and I thought "Oz, you are insane."  Rob speaks their language and can easily communicate and blends in well. But, I stand out like a sore thumb. Last time I ever did that. I am more of a taxi guy when I am there. I do feel safe walking down Avenue Paulista and shopping or around my hotels. But, late at night, no.

I agree completely. What I'll never understand is who would ever want to work for Trump. Everyone has got to know that all Trump will do is make the people who work for him try to cover up his mistakes, then get thrown under the bus when they get caught. Surely people have to know Trump will always be the sleaze who will turn on anyone who even helps him. I have no sympathy for the Michael Cohens of the world. MC knew he was dealing with a fraudster and a liar. No boo-hoos when he finds himself in prison, having been even stiffed for his legal bills. Anyone who associates with and assists someone as morally bereft as Trump obviously is should not be surprised when the inevitable happens to him.

Being close to power is a big thing for many and it gives them the ability to get some things they want. There will always be someone willing to step into those roles to get more power. But, with Trump, they will get crazier each time and then, watch out, as we will be in for a wild ride.

    Sorry, I don’t get it.

So, I'll try to break it down for you. When you said Thai guys, Myanmar guys, viet guys, etc. I was letting you know that there are many people that hate them too just because of where they are from or the color of their skin. In America, do you know how Asians have felt over the past many years (during and after Covid). The hatred is rampant and it is not just against Americans and Russians but in all places people make quick judgements based on where someone is from. That is the point I was trying to make but if both you and PeterRS don't get it, I must have said it wrong or not have explained myself.

  5. Warning to all, stay on the original topic and not politics. Further discussion about Russia in this thread will be removed. Moses is allowed to have his viewpoint on politics and that need not be brought into Siam Roads threads each time.

For the record: Russians are hated. Americans are hated. French are hated. on and on I could go. I think we are all hated by some to a degree. Except the Brazilians. Damn, that is either amazing or they are so fucking hot no one cares. :)

There are an awful lot of people standing for elections in the US accepting Russian money. I take it you mean "Golden Shower Boy".

Senators and congressmen take money from anyone.

IMHO, the only reason for me to vote is for President and to keep control of the Senate. Those are the ones that elect the SCOTUS and that is why I vote.

But, back on topic, I trust Russian aircraft as much as I trust a big Chinese aircraft.  Both have high ambitions but can't deliver the same quality as companies that have been around for ages and when I travel, I like to be safe and secure. BTW, nothing about either country as I have been to both many times but would need to see many tests with other people first. :)

  7. No, I would not fly on one as I always use flights that connect to USA and through Delta or AA. I don't see them allowing these planes to be used until the invasion of Ukraine comes to an end. But, that also depends on if Putin's puppet gets elected (big possibility IMHO). In the mean time, I have even had a hard time getting flights through China right now and not sure if that is political or they have not bounced back yet.
