My apologies, but where is Soi 6? I know Soi 4, but couldn't find 6.

On my first night in Bangkok this week, I went to Foodland to try the venerable cashew chicken as raved about by @vinapu.
Only when the dish was served did I realize that this vinapu venerated concoction contained not a single cashew. Not one.
Has Mr. Vinapu been joshing?
I asked for assistance and an employee came to the table and couldn't figure out the problem. So I told him very simply "There are no cashews in the cashew chicken!"
The remedy was to bring me a small bowl of cashews, but as chicken cashew lovers would attest, they taste much better when cooked in the dish.
My rating of Foodland's cashew chicken...a 2!

The trouble with going to Brazil is that you might forget Thailand.

From reading these forums, I get that Pattaya is a shell of its former self. No hotel however splendid can make things better. And 22-miles away?

If I am on a crowded flight and someone around me is coughing, I will put a mask on. I've seen some pretty sick people on planes. If it helps, fine. If not, I had the comfort of feeling like I was doing something to stay healthy. I just bought a new box of them...much cheaper these days!
I do notice an increase in mask wearing locally, especially in medical settings.

How do I know what's the best place in Taipei to get money? Is there a good place at the airport? Thanks for any advice.

Well, there are a few of us wanting a more harmonious board. Having said that, I do like debate. With the increased political discussions here, debate has increased, but so has animosity. Company of Men dropped their political forum as the nastiness became too much, but the result is a less dynamic board and some really stupid topics.
Middle ground anyone?

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year fellow posters. I hope that the spirit of the season brings us to a renewed sense of peace, particularly on the message board where cantankerous is a rising attitude. I am no angel, but I would like to ask everyone to tone down any hostility toward a fellow poster.
Merry Christmas @Olddaddy!!!

I doubt they know much more about the cities they visit other than where the cheapest food and best ATMs are. And of course the dreary, pathetic go-go bars and saunas for "offing".
I respect and admire your knowledge of Asia and your expertise in writing about your life and travels.
In contrast, I merely laugh at those who describe how they go from one boy to another and then to yet another during the course of a single day. They seem to think that, with each cheap sexual encounter, they're accumulating points and miles toward their next trip. 🤡
They get absolutely no points for mocking your choices -- or anyone else's.
Apparently diversity is to be mocked.

In my private mailbox this morning was a message forwarded from this site wherein another poster said to me:
"You took to me to post bro Don't reply to my posts again ok One warning ok "
But when I went to my mailbox here, the message had changed. Now it said:
"I feel empathy for you not keeping yourself fit with all the sickness you have
Hope you get better in your age , but as you said your 76 the bright side is you won't be suffering for much longer"
Now I had suggested that this old fellow might not be right for this board, given his posts. So what should I think now?

Im just going to get to the point here with this post
So many comments on tiktok older men meeting young guys for friends or casual hookups are classified as P
In your moral opinion is it ok for a 60yo to meet a 20yo for coffee or friends
I know in Thailand it's ok but in the West
Do you have so much time on your hands that you indulge posts like this? If you find it objectionable, perhaps this isn't the site for you.

Lots of interesting posts here. I have been going to Thailand since 1987 but not since the pandemic began. I do wonder for my next trip what interest I might have in the go-go bars. I'd see a show at Jupiter since it is known for its cute guys. But just a bar with boys dancing lazily waiting to be offed? I don't think I have any interest in that anymore.
I think the massage parlors will interest me more, but right now, I just don't know. Mainly I am looking forward to nice hotels, scenic tours, and good food. Friendly people too, just not necessarily in a thong.

I've never been into the buttsex thing so that part is all lost on me. But I am happy to oral all day long. There's definitely something to be said for simple cuddling/body contact. I think it's good for your soul and certainly releases lots of endorphins.
You can eat butt for hours!

An 83-year old friend loved Killers of the Flower Moon and sat through all 3 1/2 hours without a pee break. He loved the movie so much that he is willing to do it again.
I read (most) of the book and lost interest in seeing the movie.
BTW, @unicorn they do have adult diapers that I am told would get you through the movie.

So I found Soi 6 and the 19Teen place. There were one or two others, but none named Green. Now I come back to find out where I went wrong and see that the name was changed to Aravin. I didn't see an Aravin on Soi 6, but there is a place on Surawong with that name, but it seems more of a foot massage place.
I didn't realize that it could be so hard to find a cute masseur in Bangkok. On Soi 6, the guys outside the spas were not attractive to me. I did get a haircut on Patpong at Wong's barber shop. My barber, Rut, gave me as good a haircut as I have ever had, and he is quite easy on the eyes. He put on a face mask, which emphasized how beautiful his eyes are. Maybe he gives massage too!
Anyway, I am open to suggestions! Thanks!
