Freshboys, Dreamboys Hot Male- Not many customers?

I visited each bar once in early Nov, Freshboys was packed for the show that night to extend some farang moved a bit to create sitting space for me. Dreamboys was also quite good patronized. Hot Male so, so, may be 10 clients but at least 3 offs( one of them double, just reported in another thread)during   my time there.

Perhaps all that "bars are expensive , apps are cheaper" ( I'm not saying false ) propaganda is seeping into clients ears and bars  are being abandoned one by one ?

But with boys fully or at least half dressed it may be their fate. Only bar where  guys are wearing just undies if that much- Tawan seems to be well patronized although considering their new size it's not tall order to make it crowded.

what about Moonlight ? quite alone in small soi... i am curious to try but i don't like being the only customer...

Here's a question for those who were recently in Dream Boy Bangkok. Outside of showtime, when the boys were on stage with their numbers pinned to their waists, were they in jeans, shorts or briefs?

In July they were in jeans and some of us registered our protests with the mamasans. I'm wondering if they have changed their policy.

When I visited Freshboys in October with PaulSF, the show was very well attended. We arrived about 20 minutes early and got an opportunity not only to select our preferred seats but also to view the guys before the lighting was turned down for the show. Recommended.

For those who want to get a sneak peek of what the stage boys look like on any given night at Dreamboy, some can be found sitting outside the entrance in the alley between Patpong 1 and Patpong 2. I've seen them lounging about smoking during the show when they're not required on stage and also at random times before and after show.

There is no one behind us replacing us.....When I'm traveling in the US, I rarely see young guys on the apps.....like the quote below shows, they don't know how to socialize and with all the free porn online,,,,,,

Researchers have found that Generation Z is less likely to be having regular sex than their parents and grandparents. At least one expert has linked this phenomenon to increasing rates of social isolation in the current “loneliness epidemic.”

Good advice. That entrance/exit is also more discreet than the main entrance on Patong Two, should you wish to avoid friends or acquaintances in that street.

In October they were in briefs. If you stumbled into the Hard Cock show preparation room, the guys were wall to wall wanking out of even the briefs. I was so taken aback that I had to reach out to grab something hard to steady myself..............and didn't let go until we got back to the hotel.

Moonlight is doing well. There's no chance of being only customer there unless you decide  at 5 pm to wait until they open. in my opinion in early Nov they were better patronized than Jupiter

Thank you for so many useful comments. There is sure some truth in the above comment. I have been three times this year and I went to Freshboys every night I was in Bangkok. Plus some other venues. I don't think the lads are getting many offs, unless they are stars. And I see many customers arriving for the shows there so this encourages the management to do long shows. I'm in touch with multiple men who work in these bars and their current reports are very various on business. I think if they can get a couple of offs a week they are fine. If they are not popular and spend night after night grossing 400 bt and spending 200 bt on taxis it is not sustainable. If we were once young and penniless we can be a bit generous to them.

I also have records from 10 - 15 years ago where I noted my observations regarding customer numbers, and the current footfall that the bars are getting is only about half of what these bars had in 2008 - 2010.

Actually, since there were twice as many bars in operation in 2008 - 2010, this means that the footfall today in all the existing bars combined is perhaps only a quarter of the traffic the entire industry had in those years.

Could not agree more. It seems customer are coming much more for the shows which are much cheaper and very amateur versions of the popular professional boy cabaret shows like Tiffany's and Simon.

What we need are a couple more places with the easy-going atmosphere of Tawan, but differentiating themselves by having twinks, boys-next-door, etc so as not to compete directly against each other.

Not only in Bangkok but also over here in Pattaya - Jomtien.

As a newly retired guy here in Jomtien - what is disconcerting is the lack of synergy to sustain the 3 distinct areas - Sunee, Boyztown, and the Jomtien Complex.

ONLY the Jomtien Complex has a unifying website augmented with Twitter feeds to promote their 30 bars and social activities that take place in the Complex.  Both Boyztown and Sunee are intentionally left out of this website and consequently, Boyztown and Sunee need to fend for themselves.  Sunee is almost dead and lifeless and Boyztown is much smaller than in the previous decades.

This is something that I cannot understand.  Don't the generations that come after us also want sex ?  relationships?  to travel and live in places outside of their native countries ?

I fear that we (us in these forums) will be the last men standing and then after we die - everything will just evaporate as dust into the wind.....

Or, is it that the youngsters of today have found other destinations? (Canary Islands, Mykonos, Ibiza ??)  even this list is probably dated - as I have no connections with the younger generations.

I do note that there is a large contingent of young Russians here in Pattaya - Jomtien - so perhaps they will maintain our institutions (Sunee, Boyztown, Jomtien Complex) when we die off ??

As was mentioned the next generation is completely fucked. Social media has warped them in a way that will be hard to repair. As a Thai college professor said in a video I watched earlier today - kids today have no attention spans and little resilience. In Western countries there is a huge epidemic of loneliness. Big percentages have few or no friends in real life. A huge number haven't had sex with another person in over a year. It's not that they don't want to have sex, they're just poorly socialized. All of those sexually frustrated young men (with access to high powered weapons in America) are a big problem.

Obviously there are still some places where young people are still boinking (and making lots of babies), but I'd guess that is in places with less access to social media apps and phones. And those places are fewer and fewer all the time
