  1. I decided to post here as this is my original thread. Hello everyone, I am back from my 11 day trip to Brazil. I feel sick, I threw up yesterday, I feel better now. On top of that I have a sore anus. Let me begin by saying, now I understand why everyone raves about Brazil here in the forum I am not much of a writer, so I will try to keep it brief but I do realize the benefits for sharing information especially for newbies like me. It helped a lot, So I really want to thank all the people who have shared knowledge about their Brazil trips. I did 5 nights in Sao Paulo and 6 nights in Rio. Solo Trip. I was super nervous, I have been to other countries but for some reason, Brazil was alway regarded as unsafe everywhere. Anyways lets get to the point. I want to let you know that this review is from a first time Brazil visitor and not a seasoned one. From Day 1-4 I went to Lagoa. My Oh my. It was delicious! haha. I know some people who have been to Brazil multiple times have mentioned that Lagoa is not the same anymore in terms of boys but for a first timer like me, it was amazing!! The only day it was kinda disappointing to me was Sunday at lagoa (I was there thu-sun) in terms of boys. I really liked the staff there too, very helpful. There was this one garoto whose name started with 'H' was such a sweetheart, he ended up becoming my regular. One thing to note, calling an uber To Lagoa is almost impossible. I had so many drivers cancel the ride. I think it is because of the confusing turn maybe. So what I used to do was call the uber to the market 'Remax' which was on the next street and stay in the market, until uber comes. Both the hotel people and lagoa people always told me to never take my cellphone out in public. On Monday day 5, I give myself some rest.Ooofff. A bottom needs to eat as well. Lowkey jealous of all the tops. I would do light breakfast, then douche after a couple of hours, have my fiber pills and have dinner after the sauna visit. On Day 6, Tuesday. I took the bus to Rio. It was through Flixbus. Really good bus but crappy wifi. After reaching Rio and freshen myself up. I was ready to go to 117 on their famous tuesday. Very nice front desk person, and he explained to me in english. I then made my way to explore the building. To my disappointment, it is such a run down, old looking building with mostly old looking rooms. But the selection of garotos was phenomenal there. Muscular!! A bottom's heaven...lol On Day 7, Wednesday. I went to 202. This was their free cabin day and it was packed!! I have never spent this much time at a sauna, but that includes the wait times for the room. The building is worse than 117 but the rooms are slightttllyy better. On Day 8, Thursday. I checked Meio Mundo but it was dead, probably on the wrong day. The guy was nice enough for me to check out the place before I pay. I went to 117 then. Following days I switched between 117 and 202. I don't know which one is Junior at 202 but the young guy on the front desk who is probably the son of the older finer gentleman is sooo cute. Other things to note: I did uber for everything as this was my first time. Maybe i was a little too cautious. I used Uber black. I used Airbnb experiences for touristy things I stayed at hotels in both SP (Ibis Styles Centro) & Rio (Royal Regency Palace Hotel). I did not intend to bring anyone to my room. I got a cheap alternate cellphone but I was not able to get a sim at GRU airport without a brazilian document, so I had to go to a mall and go to the vivo store to get the sim. They speak Portuguese but if you speak Spanish, you can get by for a short visit. Don't get me wrong when I say 'run down building'. I was expecting 117 and 202 to look like Thermas Barcelona & Lagoa. Having said that neither thermas bcn or lagoa are palaces but you would understand what I am talking about when comparing to 117 or 202. The boys charged $R 150 - 200. I did not negotiate. Brazil is a beautiful country, a must visit. As long as you are aware of your surroundings, you are good. I would love to go again! Don't let anything discourage you from visiting. Feel free to ask any questions!

  2. As widely reported, the head teacher of a Florida School has resigned after sixth-grade students were shown images of arguably one of the greatest statues ever created - that of Michelangelo's David in the Accademia in Florence. The students were being given a lesson on Renaissance art. A copy of the statue stands proudly for all to see, adults and children alike, in Florence's main square. All because one parent deemed the statue pornographic and two others felt they should have been told about the 'reveal' beforehand. All this for a figure who features prominently in the Bible which presumably all these holier-than-thou people worship weekly if not daily! What is this ridiculous world coming to - or more specifically all these utterly bigoted, stupid idiots? https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-65071989

  4. Knowing the GOP, they will probably put up Majorie Taylor Greene if it aint Trump ? If they are so adamant about hanging onto that MAGA base, they'll give them the top of the shit pile......MTG..... The GOP shows no desire of expanding their base. They seem happy with the extremists, eventhough its proving to be a losing strategy for them. But if its Marjorie, and she LOSES, at least you know you'll get one Helluva Insurrection that will put Trumps 2020 one to shame.

  6. and thanks God Almighty for the underscored part , otherwise this forum will become non readable, if that's the word I'm sending my heartfelt congratulations to whoever understands post above and even more , to whoever understands why it was written. As for rejected visa I guess you must be American or Canadian and may not know how visa system works for either country for good reason you don't need visa. Sole decision of admission rests with immigration officer at point of entry thus somebody flying all the way from any country, citizens of which need the visa with said visa in the passport is not sure of admission until immigration officer in , usually airport , lets him in. Small but existing percentage is turned back , it's why return ticket may be required before boarding aircraft. For practical purpose as well as for religious reason I call it rejected visa and if you prefer to use other term , feel free as long as at least 23.15% of readers will understand what you mean. Hope it helped

  7. I visited SR for 10 days in February and this is a brief write up of my visit. I am going to be discreet but I am happy answer any specific questions about venues or activities…..just drop me a message. I found vinapu’s previous account of his visit interesting and I did discover Hanuman beer…excellent! I stayed at Men’s Resort. It was a real oasis in a busy city and excellent to return to after a busy day. The food was excellent as were the cocktails and were reasonably priced. The room was clean, cool and spacious and I would recommend this hotel. The only slight issue was the distance from the centre of town which did need a tuk tuk trip there and back unless you were going to arrive really sweaty. Tuk tuks plentiful outside the hotel and the price seemed to be $2 into Pub Street and $3 back. I did not sample the massages at the hotel but a friend who was staying had a number and said that there were excellent and enjoyable. I visited the spa in the hotel 3 times and each time was busy, especially on week ends and after 6.30/7pm. A real mix of locals who tended to outnumber the tourists. I found many local guys to be bottoms who wanted a European top guy so if you’re bottom, it can be a tad frustrating. Some beautiful men so if you’re a top, you will have a great time. I also visited Massage 168 and had arranged via email to meet a beautiful guy from the pics they had sent me. When I arrived on Sunday afternoon, the guy at reception said the guy I wanted to meet was unavailable as his grandmother was ill! There were two other massage guys there behind a curtain and I chose a muscular one for the massage. Massage was competent but it was obvious he was just going through the motions. I ended the massage early as there was no connection and did not return. I did not find the place particularly clean either and this was probably the least pleasurable experience I have had in Asia. I also visited Gecko massage near Pub Street and chose a muscular Cambodian guy for a massage. He was very willing and enthusiastic as well as being gorgeous and this resulted in a $30 tip. This was a far better experience than the one previously. In relation to the gay scene I went to 4 places. A new bar called Rendezvous Bar has opened and this was a fun bar to meet other gay travellers. The owner, Roland, was lovely and the drinks were great, especially the gin and tonics. Also, the Thai peanut mix was to die for…I think Christian mentioned this previously on another post…you have to go to taste this as well as viewing the gorgeous bar staff, especially Mao. I met some lovely fellow travellers there and would recommend this bar as an enjoyable stop off to chat and have fun. I went to the new Miss Wong’s cocktail bar which has moved from near Pub Street to the other side of the river. It is a beautiful old house setting and the cocktails were some of the best I had on my Asia visit. Not particularly a gay vibe, a bit formal cocktail loungy but hugely enjoyable none the less. I also visited a place the other side of the Night Market called Look@Me which seemed a bit run down, was small, on a noisy road and had no customers but this was early evening. I did not go in. Not for me. The place which was really fun was Barcode. I visited this years ago and it has got better. A great routine by the performers. When I visited three times, there was a mix of tourists and some Cambodians and the bar staff are really friendly especially some of the hot waiters. One of the muscular bar staff was so hot I and flirtatious and I wish I had followed vinapu’s tactic of tipping him $5! Maybe the next visit? The place which is not really on any guide but which was a real discovery was Home Cocktail Bar. I met an Australian guy who lives in SR for part of the year and he recommended this bar to meet gay Cambodians. It has great cocktails and food, is very reasonably priced and when I visited, packed with gay Cambodian guys who seemed to be interested in tourists. I spent three evenings there talking, flirting and getting to know some lovely local guys. Cocktails $1.50! A huge recommendation with the plus side that you get to meet locals. I found that locals are priced out of some of the other bars so this is the place to go! It was my favourite place in SR. I found that Blued was hopeless here and I had more success with Grindr with guys wanting to meet, invariably for payment. $30/40 seemed to be the going rate to meet and there are some beautiful guys in Siem Reap. When I got Tuk tuks back to Men’s at night a lot of the drivers seemed to know guys who would meet tourists for fun and some showed pictures. I did not take them up on their offers but they seemed genuine. All in all SR is a fun place to visit.

  9. I think it's hilarious — but not at all surprising — that you extrapolated from "Rio boys" (in the original conversation reported by andygchicago) to any and all "Brazilians." So whether you're talking about native language, race, or cultural identity, your assumption is still way off. You're evidently unaware that the word Latino has several interpretations. But that too is not at all surprising.

  11. I guess we all have lines we won't cross. Zoo Spa and Onsen (On Nut BTS) In my case, I felt like I had to return to Zoo Spa despite their high prices because I just had to meet "Phoenix". He's better looking in person and taller than I expected. I don't know why I just expect everyone to be short. There seems to have been a split between this branch and the new branch on the Thonburi side near Talat Phlu which is now called Z Spa. Who doesn't love some DRAMA?! So instead of sharing boys between the two they seem to have chosen their sides. One odd thing about this place is the constant changing of prices. I think maybe the boss is figuring out that his prices are too high. Last night it was "50% off". There's a new "package" called Cuteboy Package. I'm not sure how it's different from a regular massage. It's supposed to be a 90 minute body massage for 2500 (+ tip which is 1500). The massage as such was actually very good. Some parts were a bit repetitive but it was quite relaxing on the whole. Once I flipped over things progressed quickly. He wouldn't do a body to body massage but I found that being a bit more assertive about what I was looking for was beneficial. My ending was satisfactory. On the whole this place is still probably too expensive, but since I don't know when I am ever coming back here again I didn't feel bad about overspending to satisfy my curiosity.

  12. From Pattaya News The Phuket Immigration revealed to the Thai media that two foreigners received red cards and four foreigners received a yellow card this month, March 2023, so far. Phuket Immigration reported that there are in total 181 foreigners in the legal process of criminal cases. Most of them are Russian, French, British, Myanmar, and Cambodian. The most criminal cases are in Patong. Most cases are drunk driving, following by overstaying, illegally entering the kingdom, and working without a work permit. According to Phuket Immigration the system is indeed like a football game. Red cards in sports mean leaving a sport field but in terms of Immigration it means withdrawing one’s visa and requiring the foreign national to immediately depart Thailand. The length of a ban for entry to Thailand under the red card rule varies based on the severity of the crime. However, many foreigners don’t know about Thai culture or Thai laws, Phuket Immigration noted. As a result, many foreigners claimed when arrested or told about penalties based on their behavior that they didn’t know the law or rules or claimed that nobody had clearly told them the laws or rules. Many claimed they saw other people do the same type of crime or rule violation and not get penalized and felt they could do so also or asked why others were not penalized and they were. Phuket Immigration has set up a measurement tool for the red card and yellow card system. For the first time one did something wrong, they gave them yellow cards for a warning and reported their behavior to consulates. If they did it again, they will receive red cards. Their visa will be withdrawn and will be deported as previously stated.

  15. You are not far from truth but still not there, did I ever report going out with katoeys ? No doubt they have pulse and cock, often very sizable. The same goes with 30+ board members I already met, no doubt they have both faculties but I control myself not to make any suggestion of more intimate meetings that bar hoping , gossip exchanging and dining together. I need to say that one of members who left us long ago, before covid, confessed once that , based on my posts , he had urge to kiss me but when we eventually met face to face that idea somehow left him. But obviously yes, I'm happy with overwhelming majority of boys I met, it may be owing to low expectancies as you suggest but also to distant possibility that I have good hand in picking up who shares contents of my wallet. Either way I can live with being happy.

    Brazilian Saunas

You are looking for the unicorn 😁 Boys follow customers. Remember, they have to pay for their entrance too, so that is not going to happen to them to come to a sauna with too few customers more than once, except by mistake, a mistake they will unlikely repeat. If, on a particular month, the customers are less likely to come, fewer boys will come too, to match the demand.

  20. From Pattaya Mail By Barry Kenyon Police from the Technology Crime Suppression Division worry that the English love of annual fun on April 1 has been adopted by Thais on social media in the last few years. So they are again reminding everyone this week that the (vague) computer crimes act lays down penalties ranging from 100,000 baht fine to five years in jail for false data which is likely to damage the country’s security, or might cause a panic, or could simply damage other people. To date, no actual prosecutions have ever occurred arising from the first of April’s “speak play” or “poot len”, howbeit with a couple of near misses. The advent of coronavirus in early 2020 led to a spate of longlasting Fool jokes about protecting yourself by drinking cow urine or sleeping with a sliced onion, but police expect this year to see a switch to politics with a general election due in mid May. For example, the current prime minister general Prayut Chan-o-cha was first parodied as Times magazine’s “man of the year” in 2017 in a falsehood which has appeared regularly in Thai social media ever since. And Thai political humor can be a great deal nastier than that. Last year, ThaiVietjet was threatened with prosecution after staff without permission posted an April 1 hoax message about a new air route to Germany which, some said, insulted the revered monarchy. In 2021, a Thai citizen was ordered to take down a Facebook account which claimed without evidence that there were earthworms instead of meat in a popular burger. Several people ended up in hospital after reading about what they had just eaten. One even tried to sue the social media platform. Fortunately, most Thai April Fool jokes haven’t attracted official attention. There have been “fun” reports in the past that tuk tuk rides in Bangkok would be free for one day, that the latest ice cream flavor was pork chunks and that shrimp cocktail was now a popular choice in the Kit Kat chocolate selection. Foreigners have also joined in over the years to claim variously that Thailand was changing from driving on the left to the right, that the last survivor of the Titanic had died on Jomtien beach and that the 90 day address report for expats had been abolished. According to Martin Wainwright, author of The Guardian Book of April Fools Day, one sour note is that genuine news coming out on April 1 may not be believed. In 2004 Google launched its email service with huge 1-gigabyte inboxes which many thought was a joke and technologically impossible at the time. Google later abandoned all April Fool jokes because of the confusion they can create. You got that one right Big Brother.

    Siem reap - 168 Massage

Planned this short trip to Siem reap n Bangkok a month before. I ventured out in SR because of Vinapu and his detailed report about his Cambodia trip. He also helped me with the location details of 168 massage. Thanks@Vinapu. I went on monday around 4pm. Place is exactly opposite Glow inn Siem reap hotel. In google maps 360 view, you will see that as Blue hatha spa. Below is the current photo of this location. Black signage shows the spa name which is hardly readable 🧐 Now about the actual experiance. At the time i went there were only 2 boyz available. Both were in their early twenties, Tbh i didnt like either as I m more into hunky men. First i thoght to step out, but changed my mind n chose the one with moustache. He took me to a massage room which was dark, had a mattress on the floor. Not very pleasant room i must say. Had attached shower n toilet. Though it was clean n bright, flush didnt work and shower had cold water 🤨 (Btw Boy was unable to speak english, so communication was a big issue.) He started massage with his clothes on. It was massage without using oil (Khmer massage is without using oil). It was less on massage strokes n more of pressing the body. After around 20 minutes i got bored as it was very monotonous, so asked him to stop and asked shamelessly if he has "anything special" to offer. (Cambodian Gay massage term i learned from Vinapu's report? 🤔) To which he somehow communicated that he can only give handjob but can not blow. Guy was a complete dud! Very unwilling to even give a good handjob. So that was a packup in next 10 Minutes. Paid $10 at the reception and $20 to boy which was not at all worth. (As they had no massage menu, before going for massage; i asked the reception guy about the tip and he said its $20) So this was my first day experiance at 168. Second day i thought to try Gecko massage..Details i ll write soon.

  22. There is interesting polling data in this article taken from county-level GOP chairs. It sounds in the ballpark of what I would expect. Other than poor Chris Christie, the candidate that county chairs are most likely to say they DO NOT want is Donald Trump. 39 % say they don't want Trump. That said, 43 % of local chairs say they would consider Trump. 43 % is enough to win Trump the nomination in winner take all Republican primaries, just like in 2016. Trump's game is to make his base feel like the humans in The Last Of Us. Everybody not with us is like fungi out to get us. America is not a shining city on a hill. It is infected. It needs cleansing and retribution for all the fuckers who fucked us up. (Again, don't get me started on The Gays.) DeSantis is the candidate that the most county chairs would consider (73 %). In fact, he is the ONLY Republican that way more than half of Republican county chairs would consider. So the question is whether he can turn that into a 50 % or so majority in a Republican primary. And how much of the "you're infected, asshole" rhetoric and tone he has to deploy to do so. But I agree with Sis @Suckrates. Ron kind of makes me feel like The Gays are part of the infection that needs to be cleansed. Nikki Haley comes in third after DeSantis and Trump, at 36 %, as someone local GOP chairs would consider. 26 % say they would not consider her. I think her problem is that the 43 % that are for Trump include a lot of people who are rabidly for Trump. I'm not sure how many people are rabidly for Nikki Haley. I've got a hard on for Tim Scott. I think he is for sure the most interesting Republican (other than Don and Ron) to watch. And it shows up in the polling. He's number four on the list of candidates local chairs would consider, at 26 %. So he has the same problem as Haley. Like her, he polls in a low single digit. Because almost nobody is rabidly for him. What's more interesting to me is that, other than Top Guv Ron, Scott is the candidate that is likely most unifying. Only 16 % of Republican chairs say they would NOT consider Scott in 2024, as opposed to 9 % for DeSantis and 39 % for Trump. That said, I had a hard on for John Kasich in 2016, and look where that got him. I recall a dinner in Summer 2016 with two Republican friends where we all agreed that things would be so much better if the GOP had nominated Kasich. The two Republicans presumed that Kasich could beat Hillary. Whereas it looked then like Trump would be a disaster in Fall 2016. My presumption as a Democrat was that either Kasich or Clinton would have made decent Presidents, unlike Trump. It's all been more and more Freak Show since then. And so far the MAGA message, such as it is, kind of just keeps getting worse. So with Trump, we have the narrative that McConnell and Biden are the uniparty hacks destroying America. With Trump the only leader that can win retribution for real Americans. Can't blame the MAGA folks for not getting tired of winning, right? 🤫 And here's the Tim Scott narrative: I think that does set Scott apart from any other Republican candidate, including Haley. If there is a sunny Reaganite Main Street capitalist running, Tim Scott is it. Right now, that gets you about 1 % of the vote in a Republican primary. Ouch! There's at least two theories I have about Scott. One is that he is running for Veep. The Divine Miss Graham, who is back to whoring for Trump, is pushing the idea of Trump/Scott. I hope Miss Graham is once again tone deaf. It would be the end of Tim Scott as a viable national candidate. I suspect he knows that. His message pretty much screams, "I'm not Trump. I'm not running to tell you that America is fucked up." My other theory, which I hope is true, is that Scott is actually running for President in 2028. Obama's guru David Plouffe argued back around 2018 that it would take four election cycles, not four years, to defeat Trumpism. I took that to mean 2018, 2020, 2022, and 2024. Let's throw in 2026 just to be safe. That would suggest that if Trump leads Republicans to defeat yet again, by 2028 Republicans might actually be ready for something different. Another Obama guru, David Axelrod, argued something else that makes sense in this context. He said he felt dumb for missing it in 2016. He said, in retrospect, Americans often elect a President that is the opposite of what they've currently got. He said he knew that, and used it, in 2008 to make Obama look like the opposite of W. But he was too close to it to see that, in 2016, Trump was the opposite of Obama. The question is whether Republican primary voters in 2028 will want the opposite of Donald Trump. I think Tim Scott is gambling that they will. If so, I hope he is right.

  27. I got boys from online for 20 USD, everyone eager to meet again. After a poor encounter for 20, I started offering 10, which still half accept. Those who perform well get 20, the duds 10 and bye. 30 to 40 is either generous/overpaying from your side or a greedy starting offer from the boy's side. "Also, the Thai peanut mix was to die for…I think Christian mentioned this previously on another post…" available at the market. I liked the fried garlic which is just added as spice. Thanks for your report. Some places I missed during my recent trips to Siem Reap. Will have a look next time.

  29. There are usually a few posts in Gay Guides about Thailand in years gone by with some posters (myself included) writing lovingly of the old days in the 80s and 90s when the boys in the bars were all Thais from upcountry, when nudity was de rigueur in the bars and shows were much more fun. I fully accept these must be quite boring for those whose experience of gay Thailand does not extend that far back. But as one who visited Bali 10 times in the first half of the 1980s, always staying at the same simple guest house just outside Ubud, and was totally seduced by its people, customs, their arts and wonderful friendliness, I often wonder how the mass influx of tourists has changed the island since those days. I believe it was the gay German artist Walter Spies who settled in Bali in 1927 who helped create the vision of the island being a gay paradise. Indeed, although i did not know it then, my guesthouse had been Spies' home for most of his time in Bali. He threw himself into virtually all the island's many artistic activities and helped develop the particular Balinese naif style of painting. Allegedly he and an Indonesian friend also choreographed the popular all-male Kecak Dance. Tourism at this time was almost totally new. In 1930, there were only about 100 visitors arriving each year. During his years on the island he hosted many famous artists, writers, musicians and actors, imparting to each the joys of living on the island and what it offered to Europeans like himself. Yet I wonder if it ever really was that exotic gay paradise. Was it in fact more a result of the increasing anti-homosexual propoganda coming out of Nazi dominated Europe that prompted Spies to stress Bali's freedoms for gay men? Or was it more sinister, for one writer has suggested that Spies was actually concealing the fact that he was a sexual predator seeking relationships with young Balinese boys? However true or otherwise, what is not in dispute, whatever Spies' motives, is that in 1938 he was arrested in a crackdown on homosexuals. Hauled before a judge for committing sodomy with a minor, the boy's father told the trial judge, "He is our best friend, and it was an honour for my son to be in his company. If both are in agreement, why fuss?" But Spies could not escape the law for long. Eventually convicted as a pedophile, he was being transported to Ceylon when his ship was sunk by a Japanese bomb in 1942. From what I have read, the Balinese obviously had a much more liberal outlook on things like nudity and sex, even though there were I undersand no gay bars as such when i was there. I once visited the studio of a nearby artist Antonio Blanco and all the young women assistants in his house were topless. Yet 30 years earlier the governor of Bali had banned photographs of topless women and young girls as views about western morality started to take hold. Were Balinese women finally shamed into covering up their breasts only because this was happening all over other parts of Indonesia? Even so I recall so vividly seeing men, young and old, going to a stream or water spigot around 5:00 pm after work, stripping off all their clothes and bathing themselves before returing home. One young man who was a regular at a spigot on the grounds of my guesthouse was a particularly glorious sight! I was once even on a DC10 leaving Bali for Hong Kong and seeing a young man strip off and dip into a stream near the runway! Scholars have written that homosexuality had existed as part of life in Indonesia for at least a thousand years. As in Thailand, there had been no word for homosexuality in Indonesian until the 20th century. Only around the 1970s did it become an accepted term for a certain type of sexual behaviour. There is an interesting book published in the 1970s "Jalan Sempurna" which gives graphic descriptions of the feelings between one 20-year old student for another of the same age. Even though it relates to another part of Indonesia, it is perhaps indicative of the feelings also of some men in Bali. Here is an excerpt – "I walked by the front of the Regent’s residence, intending to keep going past the railway station. But only a few steps after I passed the Regent’s residence, a young fellow suddenly stepped out of an alley. He looked to be about twenty years old, but was still in school, judging from the schoolbag that he, like me, was carrying. The second our eyes met, my heart started to pound. I felt as if the blood was hissing (berdesir-desir) through my body. 'Hey, why is your heart thudding like that?' I asked myself. Never in my life had it pounded so. And, at that moment, I lowered my head, puzzling over the beating of my heart . . . “'Why is he like this?' I thought to myself. I was sure that his desire was awakened. But why was I, too, aroused? Unmistakably, it was because his body was really amazing. Wherever I laid my hand, his skin felt so smooth and soft. Even though he was another boy, at whatever part of his body I looked, my desire and passion grew stronger. Especially, if I looked at his face. If I didn’t quickly lower my head, my desire would surely explode. I would surely lay my head by his. I longed to nibble at his lips and kiss them. His body was like silk to my touch. Even this morning when I first met him, my heart was already pounding, as if something was beating inside my chest." Bali's adherence to its own form of Hinduism is no doubt one reason why it was relatively isolated from the other islands of Indonesia and why it developed differently, including in terms of sexuality. But was it indeed a gay paradise then - or even now? I just do not know.

  33. Met some Brazlians when I was in Zurich recently. Both were from Sao Paulo. They said the crime is about as common there as in Rio, but it can skew more violent. They also said that the boys in Sao Paulo are far more racially diverse, while the Rio guys tend to all be Black Latinos. Has this been everyone’s experience? Was afraid to book to Sao Paulo due to the crime, but the idea of a racially diverse buffet is really tempting

  34. Then his statement was an irrelevant/non-responsive post. The question is whether or not the two have legally married. I pointed out that marriages are a matter of public record. Marc pointed out that in California (and, as it turns out, only in California) there is such a thing as "confidential marriages," of which I was not aware. Apparently, this quirk in the law, which dates to the 19th century, is unique in California. Since these two live in California, therefore, I was wrong about the marriage being a matter of public record, if it was performed as a confidential marriage. One learns something new every day. California is an exception (if the spouses want to make the effort) to the rule of all marriages being public: https://www.zocalopublicsquare.org/2013/06/19/go-ahead-keep-your-marriage-secret/ideas/connecting-california/ "I’m going to let you in on confidential marriage, an only-in-California concoction that is little known but deeply relevant to today’s debates about marriage. Confidential marriage is in most respects the same as any old legal marriage—solemnized and binding. But confidential marriage licenses, unlike regular marriage licenses, are not part of the public record. And confidential marriage is limited to couples who are already living together...". I've lived just about my entire life in California and never heard about this, nor have I known anyone to get a confidential marriage. That being said, it is out there--presumably for big-name celebrities to keep things secret.

  36. Lagoa is in Consolacao, THE gayborhood of SP and one of its main entertainment districts, gay or straight. It's very lively, lots of restaurants, barbers, juice shops, etc. It edges up to Avenida Paulista, SP's Park Avenue, on the other side of which is Jardims, an upper-class neighborhood holding the city's best restaurants and shopping. Two major subway lines cross this area. The sauna is a 10-minute walk from your choice of 3 metro stations. Lagoa might not be right anymore (for those of us who remember the old version) but it's in the right place.

  38. The rate at Juan Binbin is 3,000 pesos. No discounts offered. Juan claims that this has been the rate for years; Idk. So it appears that you haven’t been overcharged. But to put it into perspective most guys in the apps will happily accept 1,500; hustlers from El Conde even less. The well build/gym fit, popular or experienced guys, e.g. at Marlow’s will be able to command 2-2,500. Of course, the guys will ask for more initially so keep your wits about you when negotiating prices. Above is for a quick/ maximum 1 hour session. You suck and be fucked (condon or no condon), no kissing or touching your genitals involved. Forget about them btm for you.

  39. I also like 3some - massages - 4 hands and I don't like to do it in the massage shop - so I pay a premium over what others here in Pattaya / Jomtien pay to do it in the massage shop. I pay 2.000 baht to each guy - 2 massage guys - so, 4.000 baht. Some will sure SCREAM and say that I am overpaying for this local market but I do not believe so by much more. Here is an example if I do the same thing in a massage shop: 500 paid to the massage shop 1.500 tip paid to guy #1 1.500 tip paid to guy #2 ------ 3.500 to do it at the massage shop instead of the comfort of my home where I control the music, lighting, oils and lotions that we use, what we drink, fun chat time also on my balcony to know the guys better. Also, at home I do not need to worry about some things that freak me out at some of the massage shops; bugs and insects, where do I put my valuables when I take my shower, strange smells, temperature is too hot or too cold, I do not like the music, etc. so, for a 500 baht premium I am VERY happy to "order in" for my massage fun...

  40. Part 0: Ready for take off While I'm writing this, I am at the airport waiting for my flight to Bangkok via Doha. Ready for almost 1 month in Thailand. Bangkok, Chiang Rai & Chiang Mai, Pattaya, Phuket… I have a busy schedule ahead. Planning to make an interesting trip-report for you guys. Off course with up-to-date information about all “boy fun” on offer at the moment. But also some non-sexual (boring…? haha) stuff. Any requests on what to check out while I’m around, let me know. The first time I came to Bangkok was in February 2013. As starting point for a two-month round tour in South-East Asia. It was my first time travelling solo. A big adventure. I instantly felt in love with SE-Asia. Not only because of the easy-to-get guys, but also because of the culture, nature and food. As a result, I would come back every year. As I worked in tourism, I had 3 months off every year in European low-season; the best months to travel in SE-Asia. I even managed to work in Phuket / Khao Lak a few months for the company a few years later. A dream come true. My last holiday in Thailand was in January / February 2020, just before covid19 hit. And now, after more than two years I am finally coming back! In my favourite city: Bangkok. It’s busy, smelly, humid and noisy. But somehow I like how vibrant it is. I’ve always been more a city-person than a beach-person. I was thinking about all the good memories I have in Bangkok. The many nights I’ve spent in Soi Twilight. You couldn’t enter that alley for 5 meters without being groped, touched and seduced by bar staff, moneyboys and touts trying to lurk you into their club for a “big cock show”. All fighting for your attention and money. Entrance of Soi Twilight in the old days I usually started the night with a drink on the terrace of Maxis bar. While sipping my rum&coke I could watch all the craziness going on in Soi Twilight. From there you had a good view on the massage boys of Bangkok Massage waiting for customers. Laughing girls passing by. Straight couples with the guy holding hands with his girlfriend and having a scared look in his eyes. Solo male tourists getting in ando ut of XBoys, Fresh Boys or Dream Boys. With or without their “catch of the day”. The first show I watched was at Dream Boys. How shocked I was seeing the act with the ladyboy with the very small penis and the acrobatic fuck show. And you could just choose from the guys on stage by telling the staff which number you like? A bit like Chinese take-away restaurant: choose what looks tasty from the menu, tell them what number you want and take home to enjoy… A whole new world to me; buto one I found very interesting and exciting. I also remember another club at the end of Soi Twilight that had a big water tank, where boys would swim in to do some kind of underwater erotic show. Was it Classic Boys? Watch this YouTube video to see how it was in Soi Twilight the good old days. Anyhow; I was used to all of it pretty soon. The shows in the different bars didn’t shock me anymore. After you’ve seen a few, you come to the conclusion they are all “same, same”. The only thing that kept me intrigued for some time, was the act where they slam their hard cocks with a loud bang into a metal pole. That must hurt! But somebody told me they really don’t slam their cock that hard into the pole. The noise is made because the slam something else (feet/leg?) into the pole at the same moment, so it looks the cock is making a harder impact than it actually does. But I never managed to actually see prove of this theory myself. Soi Twilight closed down (2020) Why am I writing this? Because as we all know Soi Twilight is gone. The last time I was in Bangkok, I had to settle with Patpong 2 instead. It’s good that some of the bars and clubs from Twilight found a new home in Patpong 2. But in 2020 I felt Patpong 2 was by far not having that special vibe that Twilight had. And for sure, covid19 will not have done anything good to change it become better. But let’s look at the bright side: Bangkok still has a lot to offer when it comes to boybars, erotic shows and sexy guys. And I’m about to go on a big adventure in the LOS again.

  41. Part 22: Visiting the bars again... It was not raining at 9:30pm. But just to be sure I decided to take my umbrella. I wouldn't get stuck somewhere again for hours when it would start raining again, like yesterday evening... I first did a quick walk around to see what the atmosphere was tonight. I looked like everybody stayed in yesterday and was desperate to go out now. It was more busy than any other night in Bangkok I was out this trip. Heading into Patpong 2 and one boy from Freshboys recognized me. "you like muscled gay boys, we have tonight!" and he also remembered me falling down the stairs the last time I was there: I told him I was waiting for a friend. On grindr is was chatting with a guy from Indonesia. His first time in Bangkok and was excited to go to the gogo boybars for the first time. But also scared to go alone. So I offered to go together and show him around. When he arrived we went into Freshboys first. Ten good-looking boys on stage in white sportshorts, no shorts. Same like last time I was here, and also the show was almost the same with the same acts. My stalker guy had sent me message on grindr that he now works in banana, so I knew is was "safe" for me to come to freshboys without this guy asking for my attention and an off. The 10 boys on stage where all more hunk than twink. If you really like skinny boys, this was not the place for you that night. For me on the other hand there were at least 4 that could be offed by me. But. The night in young and I still need to show Indonesian boy the other bars. When we came outside, we see that it started raining very hard. Good thing is that you don't need to get wet to go from Freshboys to Hotmale... You just walk through covered. In hotmale I counted 12 guys on stage. More of them than on my last visit were shirtless. Still wearing pants instead of just underwear, but at least some more skinny was visible on stage. As last time almost all boys wear pants and shirt. My off from last time, Mr Cutesmile, was also on stage shirtless. When he reconized me he had that price winning smile again on his face and he kept looking at me. So I invited him over and directly told him I was not going to take him to my hotel room tonight because I was showing my new Indonesian friends around and also I like butterflying. But I bought him a drink and gave him 200 baht extra tip for his time during which we touched and he massaged me a bit. Boydrink in Hotmale is as expensive as your own first drink: 400 baht. I'm not very generous in general with boydrinks. But i always thought a boydrink is often a bit cheaper than your own first drink? There was another boy on stage that I had the hots for. A bit muscled off course my type of guy. But soon he disappeared off stage, came back fully dressed and left the bar. Probabaly got an off via an app or something. It was still raining hard. But only a short run across the street to DreamBoy was oke not to get too wet. When I walked in there was some nasty odour. Like sewage smell. I noticed the same already few weeks ago when I was there. But it seems to be a recurring problem there. Drinks cost 450 baht, just a bit more expensive than the other bars in the Soi. Around 20 boys on stage in jeans and shirtless. Most of them a bit on the rough side with their appearance. Also this was how I remember it from last time, and I reported about that also. Tonight in DreamBoy was the first time during this holiday that the music was really too loud in a bar in my opinion. In Freshboys we already did see some sucking in the shower during their show. In Hotmale we were in time for the big cock show. But the Indonesian guy was really chocked bt the acrobatic fucking in the DreamBoy show. Haha. Poor kid. First time in gogo boy bar... Somehow I always find the unreachable guys the most attractive. It's always the top/men that I want. Because I am top myself. Or in this case in DreamBoy: the unavailable sexy DJ/light operator. Partly dyed blonde hair, wearing a cap. Shirtless. Hot body. But never goes home with (male) customer. I know some of you will say: they all have their price... But didn't try any further after this info from papasan. I can only hope that when DreamBoy moves to the new location, the seating will be better. This giant pole in the middle is blocking view on part of the stage from almost everywhere you sit. Can't really remember how the seating was in the old Luckyboys location where DreamBoy is moving to soon. Before we knew it, show was over and it was just 20 minutes before 1am. Closing time of the bars in Patpong 2 still 1am.Thay sign announcing late show in Freshboys is indeed old sign. The papasan became very pushy in DreamBoy asking me which guy can take care of me tonight. I hate it when they become so pushy. Doesn't work for me. So instead of taking a guy from the bar I decided to see if a nice bottom I was chatting with earlier, was still available and online on grindr. He actually was. After waiting around 15 minutes for the rain to calm down a bit, it was time to get the umbrella out and walk back to hotel. Where only 5 minutes later my bottom for the night also arrived. So in the end, a very nice night. Even in spite of the rain.

  42. ignore them politely, do not engage in conversation, do not admit ( where applicable ) it your first time in Thailand or their bar. If they ask you anything, answer briefly without elaborating. If they ask you which boy you want tell them you like girls better. I do this all the time, nobody believes but everybody gets clear signal 'leave me alone". When nothing works stronger statement like ' I'm Ok , I don't need anything " or more sophisticated ' Me no speak English' may work'. In bars with twinks you may also say " I like only big boys like In Tawan", conversly in Tawan tell them you like small boys and if they show you their resident twink tell them he is still too big for you. if you visiting bar with somebody i.e. another forum member tell them you are with boyfriend. Never buy them a drink unless YOU want to. They are not rude , just opportunistic , if they sense we are weak in knees they exploit it. Don't be rude as at some point you may need their help, for translation for example. Then you turn all smiles but only then

  43. I found out another issue with the shower in Tarntawan Hotel... The shower hose is short, so can't put the shower high enough for me to be able to actually stand under the shower head. For washing my hair in needed to bend over. A position I normally never find myself in... Lol Booked it for in a few weeks from now. For sure update will follow from me about how the hotel was. I stayed a few time in D Varee Express and never heard any noise from DJ station. I actually think there one more bukkding between that hotel and DJ station. So you will be fine noise wise. If the quality is good (nice uptempo song, act doesn't carry on too long...) it can be fun. For variation. But erotic boy acts should always be the main feature in the show.

  44. Part 8: Muscle mania at Tawan I started the evening wearing a nice schnitzel at G's in Soi 4. Chatted on grindr with boy from Myanmar who was having drinks at balcony pub alone. He asked me to join him. Was nice conversation and company. But not my type so after 1 drink I excused myself saying I had other engagements. Which was actually true. As I planned to check out Tawan bar tonight. I arrived in Tawan around 10:30pm. It was 400 baht for a drink. Also my 2nd drink was charged 400 baht... In my opinion a bit overpriced for a second drink. Most boybars charge you less for 2nd+ drinks and only first drink is 400 baht. Around 20 shirtless boys in tight navy themed underwear, some more other less muscled. When I came in only 4 other guests in the bar, but around 5 more came in just before / during show. Also ladyboys again here in the show... Why? Even in Tawan... They are still doing the part where 3 boys do competition who can cum first, for some tips off course. But I liked it the most when they put "I know you want me" song on and all guys, with hard cocks, walked around the bar for customers to feel, touch and grope. I took the opportunity to touch some muscles and 6packs and licked some nipples. Get your 100 baht notes ready for some sexy fun! Also part of the show is off course a bdsm themed act. Muscleboy 1 wearing a balaclava (but we all know who it was because you can recognize him at his tattoos) and muscleboy 2 ties him up and slams his body with insulating pipes before pouring candle wax over his but. Sucking cock and licking ass was also part of this erotic act. By the way: where else do they have a toilet boy who gives you small shoulder massage while you are washing your hands after peeing... Lol Special gesture of hospitality in Tawan! Off fee (or price for going to upstairs room): 500 for the house, 2500 for boy. Found a very nice muscle boy with great 6pack. He spoke decent English and told me he is "straight" but can kiss, suck and get sucked by guys. Only can't be fucked, only fucks. A Korean guy next to me, I had nice conversation with, already told me this guy was his favourite in the bar and already talked to him. So 6pack guy ended up sitting in between me and Korean guy. Being his first time in Tawan, Korean guy was a bit shy. So it actually was me doing most of the muscle touching. When Korean guy went to atm te be able to pay the off fee, 6pack guy told me he liked me more because I was so enthusiastic when he came around during the "I know you want me" song. He was the guy I licked the nipples of. And while sitting next to me he was touching my crown jewels. Omg... Actually I was already very tired (liked the fun I was having but not necessarily looking for an off) and also just couldn't "snatch" 6pack guy away from Korean guy. Because I also don't like when that happens to me. So with fresh bahts from the atm, Korean guy went to the upstairs room with 6pack guy. I stayed watching the other muscle boys, some of them in the meantime naked. Received a little souvenir Just when I finished my 2nd drink, Korean guy came back from upstairs. He said 6pack guy is very friendly and he had a good time some muscle worshippping and sucking his cock. Good review by Korean guy, so I probabaly have to go back to Tawan to have my own try with 6pack guy.

  45. First drink in Hotmale was 400 baht. I think most of us think the same about the shows. Some (soft) erotic entertainment would be nice. But we are there for the boys, not for hours of bad dancing that is not erotic at all or poor drag / ladyboy performances. Bar owners seem to think otherwise. Well the Tarntawan is not 20USD per night anymore on booking.com as I just checked. I come back for another 5 nights in Bangkok end of this month. Some examples of the price (all without breakfast): Tarntawan: 35 euro per night Raya: 55 euro per night Ibis Styles: 40 euro per night D Varee Express: 25 euro per night Im actually thinking about trying the new Ibis Styles at Silom road. I like the idea staying in a brand new, fresh hotel. Also the location is good. Just between where Patpong 2 and the Soi of Tawan come out on Silom Road. Haha! I can imagine! No... I was in a hurry to catch the show at Tawan. How that expierence was, I will post in my next report later today... 😉

  46. Part 4: A night in Soi 4 - disappointed in Jupiter Disclaimer: if you're a big Jupiter fan, you probabaly don't wanna read this post as for sure you will disagree with almost everything I have to say. But... We all have different taste and opinions... Saturday night in soi 4, around 10:30pm Saturday night, time to hit the bars. Tonight I choose soi 4 to have a look around. Just before 10:30pm I arrived at Jupiter. Entrance fee (including 1 drink) was 400baht. It was crowded. All good seats in the house were taken and I was put on the far right hand side next to the stage. Next to the stairs from where the boys go down during their parades. There was a nice atmosphere because of the live singer. He was singing an English song that I didn't know but big part of the Asian audience was singing along. Probably some famous K-pop song. 60+ guest, around 15 women. And during the show even more guests arrived. Till it was completely fully packed. I guess 95% of the guests were Asian, and I wouldn't be surprised if I was the oldest customer in house that night. The boy model parade began with the boys in tight black underwear. Wow. So many muscles, so many tattoos. For me it was like being in a candy shop. So many tasty stuff I wanna try. But somehow it didn't feel right. It was very obvious that the girls in the audience got almost all the attention (looks and winks) from the boys on stage. Jupiter puts clips of their boy parades on their Facebook page Than the show started. Some acts I really had no idea what I was actually looking at. Other acts were oke. But what was remarkable that I didn't see any gay act. All acts where ladyboys interacting with the boys. As they were straight couple in love or seducing each other. And when a member of the audience was invited for a lapdance, they choose a girl to come on stage. More entertaining than most of the show was the reaction of an Asian girl next to me: shouting like she never did see any big cock before. Poor girl. Haha. It's probably not populair to say this, but: I couldn't figure out why this bar is in a gay street. Yes, they have very goodlooking guys. And as a gay you can take one home. But you probabaly end up paying too much money for what you get as I can't imagine these straight "gay for pay" guys will be any good. Some of the models ego is bigger than their cock I have the impression. But maybe somebody on this forum is having a great expierence with offing a Jupiter boy (or models as they call it there)? One other strange thing was that at the second boy parade they were back in jeans. That's a strange build up: to have them walk in sexy underwear first and jeans later... As I wanted to see if there would still come any gayness in the show I stayed till around 11:45pm. But I couldn't be bothered anymore by that time and left the building. To be in time for the midnight show at Banana Room. Also this place was busy, full of customers. Als here there were more woman inside than I did see in the bars in Patpong 2. Looks like soi 4 is more and more a place where straight girls on holiday come to have a crazy night out and that the bars in Patpong 2 still have mainly a male audience. You guys feel the same from your expierence? Banana Room had the cheapest price what I've seen till now: 350 for the first drink. Not that many boys (left): only about 12 on stage. The show itself had a bit too many ladyboys lipsyncing to slow diva songs to my taste. But at least there was some boy-on-boy action happening here. Some deep sucking on a big cock. Side note; in the big cock shows and other acts where a hard-on is required, the boys are always wearing a condom. Why? If it is to bind off the penis to keep it hard, there are other (more beautiful) options, right? Use a cockring for example. But back to the show in Banana Room. From the 12 boys still available in the last hour the bar is (officially...) open, I found 3 that I could off. But actually in the meantime I had other plans made up. During the time I spent in Jupiter I chatted with a nice boy in Grindr. He is working in a massage place and we agreed to meet up at 1pm after he was free from work. That's how the night had a happy ending for me after all...

  47. Part 3: “Massage? Massage sir? Massage? Special massage?” A familiar sound walking in Silom today. Boys outside massage shops saying "Massage? Massage sir? Massage? Special massage? “… I must say it's much less places in Silom where you get this questions while walking the streets then before covid. But still... On Surawong Road between the Tawan soi and Patpong there are a few (mixed staff) massage shops with male crew trying to talk you in. And also when you walk from Tawan to Silom Road, on the second part, this still happens. One of the massage shops with mixed staff on Surawong Road It was only a few times in all those years I came to Bangkok that I went for a massage in an actual shop. I did go a few times for massages when I was in the now closed Babylon Sauna. I liked that place. It looked modern and clean. Nice dark steam rooms where it was always exciting to make your way through it while touching and feeling around you… But somehow in Babylon I always had the feeling that it was more about cruising around, watching and waiting for somebody better or hotter to pass by. There was not that much real action going on. Or it was just me. Maybe I was too shy and never took enough initiative. I must say I think its a shame Babylon is closed. Used to like going there. Anyhow; back to the passage part: I liked it how there was a sign in the room in Babylon where you could book your massage saying “no happy end”. While everybody will know that actually happy end was always possible with their massage boys. I was lucky they always put me in a “more private” part of the massage floor. As I did see that there where also massage tables in places where others could see what was happening when they passed by. Most of the times I wanted a massage in Bangkok, I would go on Grindr and invite one of the many boys offering massages to my hotel room. Sometimes a miss, but most of the times it worked out very well. On my last trip I was in Bangkok twice, as I most of the times did and also this year plan to do. I start my holiday in Bangkok, will travel around and will stay in Bangkok again on my last days. I remember I had the same massage boy coming to my room in the beginning and end of my holiday, as I liked his “services” very much. I found out I still had his number in my phone. Would he still be “in business” Decided to send him a message on WhatsApp. It must have been a sign from above or something that put paths had to cross again, because before he had actually read my massage on whatsapp he found me on grindr and messaged me also. Of course this is not how he sent me his picture. For privacy reasons I've put that smiley there... Anyhow. Arrangements were made quickly. And a few hours later he was in Le Méridien in my room. His price went from 1800 baht before covid to 2000 now. But I found this an acceptable raise given his trackrecord. Massage again was good but relaxing. And also enjoying his sexy body and good sex afterwards was how I remembered it. He's a good bottom that does the exact right amount of moaning while fucking him in different positions. Not too quiet but also not too much and loud like in some porn movies. When guys do that I always think they fake it. Originally he's from the Philippines. Speaks perfect English. Because he couldn't find enough customers anymore during the pandamic to finance his art school, he had to stop studying and is now working in an boring office. He also didn't have the money to go back to his family in the Philippines. He's hoping that in time more tourists like us will find their way back to Bangkok so he can get more customers again and finish his study. After we said goodbye I went for a swim in the hotel pool and some relaxing, reading and writing this report. Wondering what the evening will bring today...

  48. I think these are interesting times seeing how slowly or rapidly Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket recover from Covid-19. In my July visit, I noticed some instability in pricing. I saw a few instances of price reductions in bars' desperate attempts to get customers. I have a feeling that prices in September will be different from what I saw in July. If you could report on bars' prices each time you walk into a bar, it will help me assess their business recovery. Personally, I am a collector of details, but it would be presumptuous of me to expect the same of anybody else, but if you're happy to help out, we can compare notes regarding: - price of drink (there may be different prices for second drink and boy-drink) - off-fee. Most of us do make a mental note of how many boys available, but it would also be interesting to note - how many customers in the bar (need to make a note of time too) - ratio of Asians to farang; - ratio of female customers to male (a rough measure of how gay/straight the audience is) And if you could take a close look at the doors of Lucky Boys, Screw Boys and Bangkok Massage (all on Patpong 2) for any signs of re-opening, e.g. interior clean-up or remodelling. And yes, the bar with the big tank at the end of Soi Twilight was Classic Boys.
