This will just be a short update report, I spent a long visit to Thailand a few months ago and this trip was just a side visit because I was 'in the area'. Taking every opportunity that arises I spent a week between Bangkok and Pattaya, too short to get to all of the bars I wanted, but long enough to get a feel for the recovery. My prior trip was still enjoyable, but dealing with the Thailand pass hoops and the shifting sands of closing time restrictions, outdoor 'restaurant' seating only, and other covid measures did put a cloud over things. I'm happy to say a lot of these hurdles are now gone, and the life in the bars is returning. Firstly, getting there: No more Thailand Pass paperwork 👍 Vaccine paperwork not checked on arrival, just at check-in 👍 Immagration was a 15 minute affair, just as before 2020 👍 Flight prices are crazy and my flights were full 👎 The exchange booths in the basement adjacent to the aiport station were open, 2 with identical rates, then the one bank (i cant recall which) booth with worse rates. Up a few levels and out to a Taxi, it felt so good to be in and out of the airport in 30 mins, in a taxi zipping down the motorway to Silom. Bangkok The first thing I always do is walk the Surawong, Tawan, Silom Rd, Thaniya block. It was around 8pm for reference. Surawong: Olivia massage was open with 8-10 guys (1-2 twinks), Green Massage was about the same. Tawan side: I think I counted 3 massage shops with guys outside, more muscle guys. Silom to the right of soi Tawan: A new shop Nineteen massage, I only saw 2-3 guys out front, none I fancied so I didn't poke my head in. The massage places are coming back to life, much more choice than earlier this year. I returned to Patpong later, and was flanked by touts as I stroll up the stairs to Fresh Boys... busy busy busy. They were down to 2-3 open benches left, there was about 25 guys on stage and waiting in rotation. Most of the guys I would describe as twunks, 3-4 twinks, shirtless in white booty shorts and a couple of cute waiters. I departed London Gatwick last Tuesday for a take off at 21.45. There were no queues and hardly anyone in the terminal. Maybe because there were only 6 flights after mine. Very few countries there are paragon of good governance unfortunately. Sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America are most unequal societies on the earth so question arises about people dreaming about living there- do they want to live as top 10 % or bottom 90% ? as long as USA is building wall to keep Latinos out not to prevent Americans to escape and as long as Africans are trying to get to Europe by rickety boats ,not other way around it seems huddled masses are supporting validity of ranking above by their actions. No need to blend race into it. White race is not supreme, it just happen in this moment of history that is better in building livable cities and keeping them that way. Claim that 85-90 % of world's people have really livable cities based on those criteria "culture, health care, education, infrastructure, and entertainment" seems to be frivolous at best, if only because half humanity is still rural and doesn't have an access or if it does , it's very scant to any of those 5.

I can inform Vessey that LHR T2 was crowded four weeks ago, with long queues and no early check-in. Business Class travellers were given a priority check-in desk and separate immigration and security facilities. I suspect that the queues were long there, too. Apart from a few sights, I'd give Tehran a miss due to its horrendous traffic, but Shiraz, Esfahan, Yazd and Kashan were quite stunning. I found everyone I met warm-hearted, courteous and friendly. I found this odd given that I am from a country which has placed considerable sanctions on Iran. On talking to some, it was clear to a man/woman they loathe the regime they live under. But while I would happily return regularly, especially to Esfahan, it is not a city I would not consider living in full-time.

Dragon Man Club is in North Pattaya near Hollywood Disco and the old Tumnan Issan premises It was previously G-Star and prior to that Muze and Idol and probably a few other incarnations. There are now in Thailand quite a number of assisted care homes that are far more attractive than perhaps we expect. I know of three just outside Chiang Mai. (part 12, truly in a tidbit fashion) After making my usual rounds this week at Dream Boy, Fresh Boys and New Twilight (in that order) and offed three boys of different nationalities (Cambodia, Vietnam and Myanmar, respectively), one from each bar, here are some updates. 1. Drink price and boy's cut: Dream Boy is the most expensive at 450B for both customer and boy drink, Fresh Boy: 400B, and New Twilight: 350B. Boys all got 100B from their own drinks. The bar fines (or off fees) are all the same: 500B (but different from Pattaya bars, as reported in earlier parts, boys in Bangkok bars receive nothing from the bar fine). 2. Boy's basic salary: all three bars provide some incentive for boys, who show up at work on time (8pm) and who do not have an off that night (boy drinks don't count). This amount varies from bar to bar though. Dream Boy stingiest with 100B/night, Fresh Boy better with 150, New Twilight most generous with 200 (on par with Banana Room reported in part 8). Fresh Boy also had this weird rule: if the previous night you don't have a customer, the next day nobody cares if you show up for work or not. But if you had a customer the night before and you don't show up the next day, bar assumes that you are still with that customer and you have to pay a bar fine of 500B. Since the boy I offed from Fresh Boy is Viet and we talked in Vietnamese, I think I got this correctly. 3. Number of boys: Since Dream Boy currently boasts the largest cast (more than 40), Fresh Boy middle of the pack (around 25) and New Twilight (less than a dozen, 7 floor boys and 4 show boys the night I visited) comes last, the above-mentioned incentive appears to play a lesser part in boys' decision of where to work. I think number of potential customers is far more important. Fresh Boy and Dream Boy both played to a packed house the nights I visited (drizzling midweek nights) and many boys got off. Things did not bode well at all for New Twilight: Saturday night, perfect weather (pretty cool but no rain) and only 6 customers (4 alone and 2 together) at the time the show started (10p30). A few more arrived during a show. There was a large gaggle of young male farangs coming in, who could easily double or triple the "crowd" size in the house if they decided to stay, but they didn't. I think when they saw there were only a few boys on stage, fully-clothed, they backed out immediately. 4. Speaking of New Twilight's attire problems, I made it a point to complain loudly to 2 different mamasans about what the boys were wearing on stage (this is a GO-GO bar with GO-GO prices, why LONG jeans and black t-shirts with LONG sleeves, revealing almost nothing; the boys all looked like valet parking attendants in some casino hotel in Cambodia). Oh ok ,well I walked all around Sunee at night last month and had no problem,I even walked and lurked around that Soi that was opposite the old Le Cage /Mike's bar. India is currently seen as a country with potential to boost post-pandemic tourism recovery in Vietnam. Vietnamese authorities are now issuing up to 6,000 visas a day to Indians, a 24-fold increase from pre-Covid times, said Pham Sanh Chau, the country's ambassador in New Delhi. Vietnam has welcomed 954,000 foreign arrivals in the first seven months this year, up nine times year-on-year. The country hopes to welcome five million foreign tourists this year, around 30 percent of pre-pandemic levels.

In Sunee Plaza there are two go-go bars (Nice Boy and Winner Boys) and two beer bars, Green Chairs (few, if customers, and One Bar with few customers. Winner Boys does have an outside area for drinking.

I arrived in Pattaya this week for a short (4 week) visit. On Saturday evening at about 10 pm I decided to give Boyztown a look over, as I haven’t seen it since the reopening after Covid. I decided to try 3 Gogo bars. The first I visited was an old favourite Toyboys and I was greeted warmly by the Manager/Boss/ Owner, or whatever he is. Name Put or Pat. There were in excess of 18 boys working all in underwear. Most if not all could be called Twinks. About 5 customers. Unfortunately, I was then “greeted” by a male Mamasan. I recognised him from a few years ago. Bad news. He must have graduated top of the class from the “Pesky Mamasan” University. He wouldn’t leave me alone, sat beside me and demanded a drink. Ignoring him eventually did the trick but it must have taken 15 minutes, before he went to pester another customer. Nasty piece of work. I made 100% sure he was outside when it came to paying the bill. Only had one drink and decided enough was enough. Next I went into BBB. Some boys on stage in full clothing and about 10 customers. I left without buying a drink. Next I went round the corner to see how things were at Dreamboys. As I approached the door a guy went straight inside. Bad sign. I ŵas right and there were no customers and about 5 boys scrambling to get on the stage. I decided it was not for me sitting there alone. As I was leaving BT I walked past A Bomb and so had a look inside. Again no customers. A few boys in underwear. All rather disappointing for a Saturday evening between 10 and 11 pm. I returned to Jomtien which was heaving!

I stopped obsessing about the nature and the worth of my relationship with P long ago, realising that, however unsatisfactory, disappointing and even painful it can be, it was the best that either of us could expect ever to have. And so we should be grateful. I no longer worry about its origins in a Pattaya bar, the thousands of miles that separate us, nor the fact that he maintains his decent standard of living only because of my ability to support him. Throughout my career I have visited the USA 32 times and each time taken in several cities. I love much of the country and have very good friends there. But I think I have seen my last visit. at last count I met 26 members during my 22 Thai trips including firecat, hence deceased and 1 member on my home turf. It was always fun. Not all meetings were reported in my trip reports for one reason or another though. Some meetings were over dinner, other joint trips to massages or bar visits. Few just handshakes in passing. For bar visits z909 and Christian PFC are the best companions as there's no chance we will go for the same guys. On another hand spoon and 18past 19 are most dangerous companions as there's 100% chance we will like the same guy but so far we managed to avoid any conflicts of interest, quite opposite they recommended few gems to me in the past for what I'm eternally grateful.

not sure what it is supposed to mean 'bit trashy" but whatever it is, nothing to be apprehensive about. Boys are as nice as BKK ones, prices of drinks, off fees , massages and expected tips are lower indeed. If you are looking for twinks you will find galore of them in Jomtien Complex as well as Winners and whatever was left from Sunee Plaza glory. Nice Boys staff may be a bit on rough side but in positive sense of it - less inhibited I'd say. For more meatier guys head to Boyztown, BBB and Dreamboys will be your destination there. If you bored during day, trip to Koh Larn ( with boy or three in tow), Sanctuary of Truth and Noong Noch (spelling? ) Tropical Gardens and Big Buddha on top of the hill at the center are you daytime distractions. Central Festival and Terminal 21 are malls to visit if you re shopper. Lots of restaurants so you won't starve, if you like street food , you will find plenty of it between Wat Chai and Tukcom. Baht bus is 10 baht and motorsai between Jomtien and the center will be 60-100 depending on driver , time of day, your negotiating skills, how you dressed and phase of moon. If you arrive by Airport bus ( recommended), terminal is walking distance of 6 minutes 37 seconds from Jomtien Complex, if by bus from Ekkamai bus station to North Pattaya Bus Station , it will be 50--100 by songtawew (baht bus) or motorsai to Boyztown, unless you stop songtaew on the main street, that it will be 2 times 10 baht as you must change at Delphin roundabout. As for hotels, in Boytzown Classroom (more quiet) , just above ABomb boy bar or in Boyztown proper Copa or Ambiance are your choices, all gust friendly like 127.43% of Pattaya hotels. In Jomtien complex Zing Resort or The Venue are cheaper choices, Agate , East Suites and Poseidon are more for affluent types like you.

"Darius" (Peter) is even shorter. So many of these porn stars are very very short in real life. Makes their dicks look bigger too. And too small to ever "gape".

I think Korean guys are the hottest guys on the planet I'm attracted by the eyes the most and their dominance. Saw a few in the Philippines on Grindr but sadly didn't seem to be into me 😣 I wonder if there is much action in South Korea and younger into Daddies,? I guess it would be Pay4play there mostly?

Day 21 In the morning no trace either one of us two being bored or hungry so we just brushed our teeth and returned to vertical position doing a lot of romantic stuff and talking . It was well past 10 when we decided to call meeting over, tip was paid with some extra bonus and we marched to world famous for my last breakfast this trip. Usually when I dine with boys there, they are sitting facing me, L decided for some reason to sit just beside. So when I got this extremely bright idea in some moment of enlightenment I could easily whisper to his ear “ are we going back to the room?, I’ll tip you extra” only to receive smile and nod in response. It looks that my last day will be spent almost all in bed, not that I’m complaining. Back to the room for more gymnastics and some talk. In meantime I discretely responded to X question if I want to see him today , unfortunately no. I liked his classy response “ thank you for supporting me all other days”. Equally discretely I confirmed to K that I will see him at 4 as agreed previously and as result around 3 pm. I initiated parting rites after what was longest off I ever had in Thailand. I did it with bit of heavy heart as it was nice to spent all that time with L and hope for repeat in the future. I kept my side of bargain and tipped him again for that not so short short time after breakfast and even walked him to the Silom rd where we shook hands farang way. At 4 I could see from my window K’s motorbike parking at front and minute or two later we were embracing again. With 4 LT and 3 ST he was staple of my trip and for me he was hunk of my dreams with no attitude, never rushing and smooth but steely body of semi-god, muscular but not overbuilt. No doubt he realized that I liked him so shortly after arrival he jokingly tried to discount his popularity with me showing me picture of motorcycle and telling that if I buy him that machine he will give his motorbike to his father. But after I found very good answer “ I will not buy it because I don’t have motorcycle myself “ he turned everything into joke. It was not out of this world request since I know former Tawan guy later transplanted to Jupiter whom I offed dozen times who got big machine from his Chinese lady client, I even saw her in the bar not to mention I was awarded trip to Hualampong by that vehicle. No, that phishing this time did not spoil my experience and we had normal fun as every time before. At one point Jason1975 reported arrival in BKK and I told him K and me will be dining at G”Bangkok so he can join us. And in fact shortly after we sat down there I heard my name, Jason came to say hallo and shake hands and I had impression in K he liked what he saw asking me where I got him from. Being discreet gentleman I whispered where from. Dining at soi 4 was not good idea today as all Pride attendees descended on the soi so place was noisy and very busy and I was glad I had my own, much more quiet celebration in my room. Another sad good bye today but I always maintain one can’t return without going away first. K went to his bar on his old motorbike , I walked to hotel to pack and since I travel lightly I did not take too much time but spent rest of time on my tablet until time came to roll my suitcase to Chong Nonsi. Night guard waved me good bye smiling knowingly and I don’t even try to guess what he thought of me but who cares. I was in airport bit too early , everything went smoothly and flight to Zurich where I had connection was uneventful . We arrived quite early and it was very refreshing after 3 weeks in tropics to finally get some crisp cool air on the terminal’s roof. 22nd trip was over, for a change after arriving home I almost did not have jet lag at all, no idea why but it was nice bonus.
