    My Swampy experience

I think you're being facetious but I'll answer anyway. Nope, the thought didn't even cross my mind. It turned out that Baht and I were heading to Pattaya two days later, on Sunday. I had more shopping plans for that night but Baht again texted me to join him in Jomtien Super Town — is that what they call it? — to start drinking with another group of his friends and later head with them to a Pattaya nightclub that Baht was eager to experience. Baht had mentioned this on Friday morning in the coffee shop, and I was definitely interested. I've had such great times in Pattaya night clubs. I love the clientele mix. Gay, straight, sex workers from all over Southeast Asia, sex tourists from all over the world as well as plenty of locals and gay and beach tourists pulled to Pattaya by draws other than go-go and host/hostess bars. On one of my first nights in Pattaya, back in the mid-90s, I remember going to what I believe was Marine Disco. It was on Walking Street, and the sexual tension was off the charts. The music and music system were outstanding. There was so much energy in that place. Through the decades other Pattaya nightclubs would open and close, from Hollywood, near Sunee Plaza, to Christine's to Dave's and NAB. I had so many great nights in every one of them so I was eager to try a new Pattaya disco. Trouble was I had asked Baht the name of the place because I had just read a long Stickman's column about a few new happening nightclubs in Pattaya and thought it might be one of them. It wasn't. Instead it was one that had just been raided by police, one from which the customers rather than wait to be booked and locked up broke free and ran away, one that had been closed down by the humiliated police. Now it's Sunday night and Baht and his friends are getting excited about moving to a Pattaya venue. Baht still refuses to believe me that the place he intends to go to has been closed down by police. So he asks a friend working at the bar we're drinking at. The friend says, yeh, it's still open, and Baht shoots an “I told you so” glance at me. But at that point the bar's other waiter pipes in and says police have closed it. No matter. There are other Pattaya nightclubs. But at this point I'm not really in the mood. I had been working the apps, chatting to some promising locals before heading to Jomtien and wanted to get back to that. I also didn't want to put myself in a situation where I would be expected to subsidize the drinking of six more strangers. So I paid for my tequila and left. The next morning when I woke up I noticed Baht had tried to call me twice, which is odd for him as we only ever text. I texted back, thanking him for introducing me to his fun friends, telling him I had a great time at Fake Club and again in Jomtien and wishing him a safe drive back up to Chiang Mai. They had planned to leave when they woke up that day — after for what for them were three straight all-nighters of binge drinking. Baht has yet to reply to that text, nor to even read it. I hope he is OK.

  2. Pattaya Koh Larn island trip report - November 2022 This is my trip report to Koh Larn from Pattaya. It is written for those who might want to venture over to this beautiful island for a day trip or to stay a couple of nights like we did. I travelled with 2 of my Thai friends, as it was one of their birthday’s, hence these chosen dates. Why Koh Larn? Because you may want to get away from the hustle & bustle of busy Pattaya to stay at some truly beautiful beaches that have transparent blue turquoise clean water with nice white sand. As we know, most of Pattaya, and lesser so, Jomtien beaches have brownish water, consequently making it sometimes difficult to enjoy a true pleasant beach experience that Thailand is known for. Note, that Koh Larn is NOT at the level of beauty of Koh Samui or Phuket – but for only being 20 to 30 minutes away from Pattaya – it is a nice quick and easy substitute for them. Day ONE - Monday 21 November 2022 We took a Grab taxi from Jomtien over to the Bali Hali Pier in Pattaya. At the pier, there are many offerings for private tours via speed boat (costing thousands of Thai baht) and also transport via speed boat for ฿150 baht per person one way. We opted for the speedboat transportation modality, which takes 20 minutes. Note that if you continue towards the pier you can buy a ฿30 baht one way fare on the ferry boat, which takes 40 to 45 minutes. Note ferry schedule below – there are 2 destinations available – Naban Port which faces Pattaya, and Tawaen Beach which faces west into the Gulf of Thailand. http://kohlarn.com/getting-to-koh-larn.html The speedboat ride was quite enjoyable, as the sea was calm – consequently there were not many bumps. If you find that the sea is rough, then I would suggest that you instead take the ferry. Each of us wore a life vest – including all of the other passengers. After exiting the speedboat onto the floating pier, you will be almost immediately solicited for room rentals, taxis, and motorbike rentals. My 2 Thai friends had already reserved us a place in a 2 unit bungalow that they really liked (from previous trips) because it is isolated and private and still within the Naban village. We walked about 5 to 6 minutes south from the pier (as indicated in the below map) to where my 2 friends were greeted by a friendly Thai lady who acted as the broker for our 2 sleeping accommodations, which included 2 motorbikes (1 per unit). The price was ฿1,500 baht per unit and we always took 2 units – as I like to sleep alone. This is our first night accommodation. Simple – but nice and very private with a rocky beach front – when the tide is up the balcony is on top of the water and when the tide is out the balcony overlooks the rocks. Nice places to sit on each single balcony with 2 chairs each with a small table, nearby tree with tons of shade and an outdoor table if needed. From the below photo, you can see that the rooms are modest but practical. There was good air-conditioning and normal bathroom with hot water for a shower. The best part was the view of the Pattaya city and Jomtien skylines. For some months now, I can see Koh Larn from where I live in Jomtien and now I can look back to where I live. I have to say that it is very impressive – more so from Koh Larn looking towards Pattaya/Jomtien – especially at night when the entire city is illuminated. Note, there was NO breakfast included in the above mentioned price. View of Pattaya City and Jomtien from our Koh Larn room balcony – quite impressive. We unpacked our bags and then headed out to lunch at one of the many roadside cafes on our way to our first beach destination at Hat Nuan beach – which is on the southern tip of Koh Larn. Beach was pleasant and nice, but was not my favorite because when you walk into the water, it quickly gets deep – as there is a drop-off in the sea floor. I prefer a gradual drop off where you can walk out far into the water before it gets deep. At the far end of this beach – towards the rocks – are a group of monkeys. Many tourists were feeding them. I did not attempt to get too close as I saw many Youtube videos where the monkeys will steal something from you (like your mobile phone) and run away. No thanks. After a couple of hours at Hat Nuan beach, we then drove over to Samae Beach, which is on the western side of the island. The center of the island is dense green with large hills – so the ride from west to east and east to west are breathtaking – as the views from high up are stunning. Note the following - The roads on Koh Larn are narrow and there are NO cars – only the occasional baht busses that shuttle passengers back and forth between the different beaches. Each way on the baht bus is ฿30 baht for each single ride. Consequently, since there are NO cars – it makes driving on Koh Larn very pleasant, as it is just motorbikes going about – and they tended to drive slowly without any chaos. This is truly a nice experience after the crazy chaos of motorbikes in Pattaya city. Also, even though I have my official Thai motorbike driving license – I have not yet started to drive a motorbike in Thailand. I believe that driving one on Koh Larn will help me get over my fear to get started. Consequently, during this trip, I was the 2nd passenger on one of our 2 motorbikes. Going up some of the bigger hills puts a strain on the motorbike – so, if you plan to go 2 persons on a single bike – make sure that you get a motorbike strong enough. For sure, 2 falangs on a single motorbike might not make it up some of the steeper hills. In my case, we were always 1 falang and 1 Thai – and as we know, the Thais don’t weigh much. Next stop, was Samae Beach. This beach I really liked. During this trip, we visited 5 beaches in total and Samae was tied for my favorite with another beach that we visited on day 2. Samae, has the type of white beach sand that I really like with the gradual decline in the seabed, that allows you to walk out quite far before having to start swimming. The water is a beautiful transparent turquoise color. After almost arriving to sunset, we drove back to our room to freshen up for our Main Event – the birthday celebration of my Thai friend at the infamous Klom Klom restaurant / bar. The Klom Klom restaurant / bar is truly an eclectic cool hippy type of place and was an excellent choice to celebrate my friend’s birthday. This was one of my most favorite places in Thailand – something that I would expect to find up in PAI, in northern Thailand. A jazz band was playing during our visit. The food and drinks were very good. The only negative is that the food came from another affiliated place that is across the street – which made the wait for our meal somewhat longer than normal. When I thought that the bill would come, instead the waiters and band played and sang happy birthday for my Thai friend – which was a nice surprise. Even the customers joined into sing. A weird jello birthday dish was served with a lit candle in it (?? Thai tradition ??). To find this place – see below map – as it is about half way between Naban village and Tawaen Beach. Anybody who lives on Koh Larn knows about this place as it is super famous. Back home for some more drinks on our balcony to enjoy the illuminated Pattaya skyline. Day TWO – Tuesday 22 November 2022 We had to switch accommodation locations because one of our 2 bungalow rooms was rented out to another party (surprise snafu). So, we moved north of the main Naban village pier to ธนัชชา รีสอร์ท (Thanatcha Resort). Note from the map below, that this place is VERY close to the main ferry pier and if you remember from the above ferry schedule, the first ferry is at 6:30am bound for Pattaya. It starts blasting its horns for departure at 6:20am. So, I would avoid this place if you do not like to wake up early. Also, it is kind of run down and you can see that it has seen better days. It has a large wooden deck that is tastefully illuminated in the evening with an excellent view of the Pattaya city skyline. Breakfast is included. Price was the same as the previous accommodation, ฿1,500 baht per unit and we took 2 units. This place includes breakfast out on the terrace, which included a Thai kind of rice / chicken soup, toast and marmalades, and eggs sunny side up + coffee. Our next destination was to go see the BIG giant Buddha up on Buddha hill. What is impressive about this place is that you have an incredible view of almost all of Koh Larn – especially looking down onto the tourist packed Tawaen beach. Furthermore, this is where the paragliders take off and land – it was truly breathtaking to watch all of them as there was at least a dozen of them up in the air above us. Have any of you tried this paragliding thing? https://www.flykohlarn.com Driving down into Tawaen Beach, the scene was overwhelming, as the beach was teeming with tourists mainly from India – it was loud and super crowded. I told the guys to continue onwards, and we found a great place to have lunch just before the next beach over, where Tong Lang Beach starts. It was much more quiet and tranquil. I believe that Tawaen Beach is extremely crowded because the main ferry from Pattaya also stops here. Here is a photo of the tranquil and beautiful Tong Lang Beach, where we relaxed for a couple of hours. It was nice and pleasant – but was still not yet my most favorite beach spot. Our next stop was Tiennara (Tien Beach). As I mentioned from day one this was also my most favorite beach. But now after writing this report and reliving the fond memories, this beach is my number one favorite from this Koh Larn trip. Why? It is a very BIG (long) beach with many variations within the beach, such as lush green canopy overgrowth where there were many places to stay shaded, eat, relax, etc. There are even secluded places to lodge and stay overnight here --> I definitely need to return to sleep in one of them. Have any of you slept in any rooms that are directly at Tien Beach? If so, please share with us the relevant contact information. To arrive at this paradise, you first park your motorbikes and then walk on this elevated concrete pathway until you arrive onto Tiennara (Tien Beach). It feels different than the other beaches as you feel more isolated and more immersed into the nature with the white powdery beach sand. Note that walking north (opposite way from which you entered) you will eventually find some red chair lounges. This is where we stayed, and the older owner/manager is most likely gay and one of his sexy younger workers appears to also be gay. He was quite flirty – another reason to return to this beach. On our way into this beach over the elevated concrete walkway, my 2 Thai friends acknowledged a group of fellow gay Thai individuals who were heading back – as they only came for the day. So, perhaps this is the beach more frequented by us gays ? The sun was starting to set and it was time to drive back to our accommodation to freshen up and to head out to our last dinner on Koh Larn. The chosen Thai restaurant is, ยกยอ-เกาะล้าน (Lifted Yo - Koh Larn) https://yokyor-kohlarn.business.site/ which is located on the main road going south from the Naban village that follows the sea shoreline (see below map). It is a somtum type of Thai restaurant and the food was great. It received a 4.3 rating out of 5 maximum in Google. After dinner, we made a quick stop at 7-Eleven (even on Koh Larn they seem to be almost everywhere) to grab some beers to enjoy our last view of our hotel sea deck illuminated Pattaya / Jomtien city skyline. We had breakfast in the following morning at our 2nd day hotel and then off to return our motorbikes and join the crowd looking for speedboats back to Pattaya. Again, ฿150 baht per person one way. In about 22 minutes we were already back at the Bali Hali pier in Pattaya. We called a BOLT taxi to take us back to Jomtien. Would I go back to Koh Larn? MOST definitely – I was truly enchanted with this place and I see that it will take several trips to discover all of the nooks and crannies on this wonderful island – truly an oasis in nature to get away from the craziness of Pattaya city. What would I change? 1.) To have better control over the accommodations that were chosen – there are tons of them and some are truly amazing. 2.) To get over my anxiety to drive a motorbike in Thailand – as Koh Larn is definitely a tranquil place to overcome this fear. In closing, I hope that you enjoyed my long trip report. I hope by sharing all of this information with all of you that it will encourage some of you to take advantage of this unique place in Pattaya.

  3. My Pattaya reports are aimed at newbies by a newbie (third time in Thailand, first time in P), so please read (and react?) with that spirit in mind. I decided to offer them thematically rather than chronologically, bcs I think it's more useful for searching info. Mike's taxi service was rcmndd here, and m happy to rcmnd it forward. Online rgstration easy and user-friendly. 1000 baht. I also established in advance whatsapp contact with him, just to b on the safe side; he readily obliged me. Arriving 14:45 in a small plane from Siem Reap and with only a carry-on trolley, I whisked thru. Per email instruction, I proceeded to exit gate 3. At first I didnt see anyone holding a paper with my name on it, but that was bcs I had mistakenly assumed that mine wld b the only one. However, some reps have boards with mltpl names, and that's where I found mine. The young lady contacted the driver waiting outside; told me it wld take 10 mnts; at my request took me to sit at some benches; and rtrnd 7 mnts later to take me to the taxi. The taxi was immaculate, and the driver very polite. He asked me to type the name of my hotel into his nvgation app, and off we drove at 15:25. He also showed me on his cellphone that he is aware of my request to stop in P at a TT branch for exchanging money, which of course he did. The ride took 95 mnts, 75 of which we were cruising at 110 kph on the highways. Level of service: PERFECT PS Rate of exchange was $1 = 35.2 baht

  4. Thanks Vinapu for remembering my early trip reports from 2012, 2013, etc.. Being retired has given me the luxury of having the free time required to write these types of detailed trip reports. As you know, I very much appreciate maps in trip reports because of the way my brain works. If I can see a visualization of where a given location is on a map - it greatly helps me understand where a given place is and the best way to get there. Recently 12is12 showed me how to insert custom geographical pinpoints onto Google maps. This made me realize that I can use this Google feature to enhance my future trip reports and as I get older (deteriorating memory) help me to remember where I have already been to avoid that in my future that I have groundhog day experiences. In that way I can see everything once and avoid repeating them - good for the budget :>))

  5. PeterRS is able to defend himself but your comment is offensive. Force yourself to be nice , otherwise don't waste any opportunity to be silent As for believing in Putin's terminology I wonder if you still believe in Santa Claus not to mention Sleeping Beauty and her 7 dwarfs, one of them , third from the left mind you, was named gayinpattaya I believe.

  6. Apologies for not finishing this story earlier, but I’ve had an excitement-filled week with little time to devote to this story. The short version is this friend, let’s call him Baht, never asked me to share my vacation with him. I handed him an envelope with some cash in it and apologized for not being able to help him more during the pandemic. We made our way to a tiny specialty coffee roaster that was on the end of a sub-soi off Soi Convent and had a nice catch-up. He invited me to join his friends at Fake Club that night. I demurred as I had some shopping to do on Silom Soi 4 and Patpong, and had already wasted my first night in Bangkok catching up on the sleep I failed to get the night before my flight left. But I had always wanted to go to Club Fake and knew I’d never go to a place like that alone. Still, though, my shopping expedition beckoned so I told Baht to text me later, I might change my mind. When he finally did text me it was from Fake Club itself and the news wasn’t so great. They only sold bottles of whiskey or vodka. No tequila, but they’d let you bring a bottle of tequila inside the club and charge a 300 baht “uncorking” fee. I think I was supposed to take care of the tequila but didn’t realize that. I don’t know where to buy bottles of tequila that late in Bangkok, and Baht had made it sound as though it were something he could handle once I showed up. That happened at about 11:30. I got to the table only to find whiskey. Baht poured me a glass of whiskey and soda despite my protesting that just the smell of whiskey makes me wanna throw up. Then he excused himself to go to the bathroom. He didn’t return for a long time —almost an hour — and as his absence stretched I grew more determined to say my goodbyes as soon as he returned. It ended up that Baht had commandeered a motorcycle taxi and told him to go to every liquor store and convenience store still open until they found one with tequila. As the clock ticked almost to midnight — Thailand’s legal cutoff time for sales of alcohol — they found one last convenience store. It had a bottle of tequila. He texted me a photo of it. It was almost exactly midnight. When he got back, well after midnight, he must have had to travel far, Baht plopped my prize down on the table and told me of his adventure. Well, I guess I can stay another half hour or so, I thought. I ended up having a great night. I had not drank like that in almost three years. The music was really fun and I found out that despite no practice since the end of 2019, my body can still dance. We ended up polishing off that bottle of tequila and staying till the very end. When the bill came, a little more than 5,000 baht, I took it from the waiter, who shined his flashlight on my wallet so I could see what I was doing. As I was counting out 1,000-baht notes, I noticed all eyes around the table were on my wallet, riveted with suspense. Would I go all the way? If I did, would I leave a tip? I got to 4,000 and hesitated. Surely Golf and his friends could take care of the rest and add a tip. I glanced up, all eyes, even the waiter’s, were still glued to what my fingers were doing in my wallet. There was also a sense of desperation in those eyes, so I counted out two more bills and a jubilant celebration erupted as if I — or they — had just scored the winning goal in a World Cup game. The waiter actually broke into tears he was so happy. He gave me a big hug, showering me in thank yous. I’ve never hugged anyone so bone thin. I was happy I had left him a generous tip. He could obviously use the money.

compliments - I LOVE your writing style. I was laughing SO hard and also at the same time your suspense was killing me..... I myself have been in this situation - with ALL of the eyes on your wallet as you pull out each baht to pay the group bill. The best is to do it slowly - it keeps them on the edge of their seat. Even better, to not have enough in your wallet but to have enough somewhere else in another pocket without them knowing it. During this hesitation as you fuddle to see if you can find more bahts - just to see if any of them will jump in to help you out. It is GREAT entertaining theatre......

  9. my apologies if you feel offended, I have no idea how tall you are so it looks unintentionally I picked up wrong example of fairy tale to believe. I'm genuinely sorry indeed. Otherwise, for the record, I still believe you were wrong calling Peter what you called him and patently wrong by being Putin's apologist and being loud about it. George W perhaps was not any better but you can say that without fear of reprisal which clearly is not a case about saying anything bad about Putin in Russia. Yes, for us in the West is easy to be brave and thanks God and our politicians for that.

    Report on Siem Reap

I spent 4 nights at Men's hotel and spa. It's a gay hotel similar to A&P in PP, but bigger: 15 rooms instead of 5, and the sauna is also much bigger. I liked it less, bcs of too many minor service and maintenance annoyances. On my last night I finally witnessed some action in a Cambodian sauna (re my PP report): 3 guys (young local, young afro-american, big-fat old white) pleasuring worshipping a young sexy local in the jaccuzzi. There is also massage service at the hotel. I discretly asked the very friendly helpful French manager if his massuers - like the ones at the PP hotel - automatically assume that extras are included. He answered most emphatically "No. We dont do that." Had a small number of grindr solicitations. Met with a local tourist twink, who was really into making Daddies happy. Notwithstanding all the above, anyone visiting PP interested in discreet pleasure, PM me. On a non-sex note, an off the beaten track rcmndation: a break from the temples at Theam's gallery. It's much more than just a gallery; magical tasteful compound.

  11. i agree but in massages action sometimes takes its own course, touch here , brush there and all of the sudden. idea of just massage is abandoned. In male stuffed places if one opts for oil massage it may be taken as indication that more than just a massage is expected so after several minutes masseur may start some sinister moves and wait for your reaction. Unless of course we already scratched his knee or something.

  12. Like, sure I want a massage that is relaxing and a little exciting but not the full on extra service exprience. A massage that's a bit sensual but still a clean relaxing massage. I've been searching the internet for hours now but it seems that the gay-centered massage parlors are already assuming that I want to go all the way based on their prices. Like 1000 baht for the service and a minimum tip of 1000+ baht.. Help! Any recommedations?

  13. Friday 2nd December, I had a Mike Pattaya Taxi from Bangkok City (Suan Plu Soi 8 ) I booked it the night before and it was confirmed via LINE in 5 minutes. I had a fantastic lady driver with a brand new big car. I was very comfortable with a big recliner seat and free water. She skipped the rest stop on the way because I was asleep. It was that comfortable! 1100 Baht + 200 tip. Right to the lobby of my condo. I have used Mike Taxi for many years now. FloridaRob was my introduction to them. I will never go anywhere else.

  14. Thai pronouns and honorifics are highly nuanced and I don't pretend to know any of the subtleties. น้อง (Nong) literally means "younger sibling" regardless of sex. Here I think it's used to imply a respectful relationship to the customer. (Thai doesn't make the same distinctions in familial relationships that we are used to. For example there are words for father's younger sibling, mother's younger sibling, parent's older brother, parent's older sister, but not for the other combinations of father/mother older/younger brother/sister.)

  15. How did Transferwise steal 500 from you? I have been using them for many years, never a problem nor heard of problems from others. Early check-in (many times I arrived at hotels 8 or 10 am) has never been a problem for me.

One of the most famous trolls on the gay Thailand boards came from the area that olddaddy is from and for years, I just blocked everyone from there to keep them at bay. But, hard to prove until one sees a pattern arising. I hope that is not the case here.

The problem is that there are TOO MANY porn stars. And Too Many of these bitches got Bad attitudes. Im not talking about Ryheim. I remember when some Goofy hijacked his twitter. He came back bigger and better. How many boys you smashed, 6? Why triple repeat? And you know you got 3 in mind that will have you returning.. Glad you had fun.👍

I asked trinity silom about early checking , they said ok for 500b (now) or I could wait and see when I arrived and maybe for a slight fee. I thought I would let them have my luggage and go to the health club they join you to when you stay there. we will see.

  30. You can walk into almost any gay massage parlor and ask for exactly what you described above. Or you could walk in, say you'd like an oil massage, play dumb about any extras and see how far the therapist will go. Think of it as an adventure. There used to be a massage place in front of Pinnacle Lumpinee, for years a favorite hotel among gay tourists. A friend from New York who was with a straight female friend once asked the hotel receptionist to recommend a massage shop that both he and she could enjoy. Basically they wanted a place with no hanky-panky, although probably neither would say no to some fun. Anyway, the receptionist recommended the place right in front of the hotel. They entered, ordered hourlong massages and were put into adjoining — um, what are they? Rooms separated by thin curtains? — well, you get the idea. My friend must have been giving off gay vibes because unbeknownst to him he was assigned a gay therapist, but also an actual masseur, someone with skill. The therapist, I guess sensing he was in the company of another gay man, decided to see if he could arouse his customer with strokes that kept getting closer and closure to my friend's anus, eliciting louder and louder moans with each stroke until a thumb started brushing up against the anus. And then ever so slightly inside. Eventually the therapist asked my friend to turn over. He did, and the masseur repeated the same procedure — long strokes not quite to the crotch but getting closer with every stroke until he was gently caressing my friends balls with his finger tips, but for only a split second before starting the down stroke. My friend said he couldn't contain himself, letting out a stream of moans that gave voice to his pleasure. All along, his female friend on the other side of the curtain was completely silent. Eventually my friend shot a load without even having his erection touched. This was 2004 and to this day he still says it was the best massage of his life. And the biggest load he has ever shot. But he's probably had more fun relating this story than he did during the sensual massage. He first told his female friend who immediately after leaving the shop asked, “Oh my god, what was all that moaning about?” The female friend couldn't believe all that had gone down — or maybe up — just a few feet from her without her realizing it. They had, after all, asked for a no hanky-panky shop.

    My Swampy experience

for early arrivals or late departures I'm trying to find some cheap hotel and book the room there precisely in order I don't need to wait for check in time or being forced vacate room at prescribed time , I rather pay up for whole day and don't use it in full but at least have an access to shower e.t.c.

    My Swampy experience

But as I thought I had clearly stated, the Turkish Airlines jet was not departing. It was merely being towed to some far off part of BKK as it would not be departing for Istanbul for at least 6 hours. It had picked up no passengers and no luggage. The plane was empty! The only passengers waiting at that bay were China Airlines passengers. So Turkish Airlines was obviously late in arriving and then had merely to offload pasengers and luggage. There were several vacant bays in that part of BKK. Clearly Turkish had been assigned the same bay as China Airlines. But given that Turkish had clearly arrived very late and this would have been known to the air traffic controllers and the ground coordinators many hours beforehand, I fail to understand why Turkish could not have been assigned a nearby empty bay to unload its passengers and cargo. I am sure all the passengers waiting to fly to Taipei on the incoming China Airlines plane wondered the same thing!

  33. This sort of crime (drugging and robbing the male victim) has been happening for several years in Brazil and other cities in Latin America. It also happens in other parts of the world. I’m aware of it happening in Cape Town and other cities in Africa. A few years ago, I was surprised to find that it happens fairly often in cities in the US. Then, it was most prevalent in Chicago. If you’re meeting strangers, it’s always sensible to take precautions. Meet first in a public place. If you’re going clubbing, try to go with friends and look out for each other. In bars, watch your drink at all times. Trust your instincts and don’t take undue risks.

  34. I speak enough Portuguese to get by and have been in some pretty risky situations and countries in my day. Still I"m going to try my best to follow your advice, even after having spent this time scoping out guys online and looking forward to meeting some of them. Hopefully I go to the sauna and realize there are just as attractive guys there as some of the guys I've found online and then just have my fun in the sauna or with guys from the sauna. Likely I'll also have a couple hookups from guys I meet on Grindr or out at night. Normally Brazilians tend like me (because I'm a ginger which is apparently exotic), and the feeling is definitely mutual! I'm pretty confident now that even my idiot self won't mess things up too much and I'm going to have a great time in Brazil and enjoy some new experiences. The men, the geography and natural beauty, the cities, the food, the surf, the men (did I say that one yet?). I can't wait!

  35. Although I originally planned on my first (and so far only) visit to Brazil to use online support, I quickly realized that there was no particular need for this. The GP from the sauna, having learned about my residence in Capocabana and Ipamena, quite often stated that we were neighbors and then offered their contacts to visit me for a couple of sticks of morning tea. As a result, the following order was formed - in the morning tested GP from the sauna, in the evening in the sauna - a new GP. As for safety, it is safer and cheaper, in my opinion, to take GP from the sauna at your place after a pass at the concierge than to go to the sauna or somewhere else.

  36. Reading these various experiences of fellow members about boys watching porn whilst in bed , I’m taken back to some years ago by something rather different. I was in a king bed with a very hot twink and was woken up in the middle of the night in the pitch darkness by noises (beeps, buzzes and clicks) coming from under the bed sheets, from which there was also a faint glow. I gradually came to and slid over to his side of the bed and whispered “what you do “ to which the reply was “play game”. . I was amused by this and asked him to show me. It was in the early days of smart phones and I did not possess one, only a basic mobile phone with few extras. He demonstrated the game and showed me how to play and for a while I forgot about sex in my efforts to master the skill. However I gradually focussed more on his delicious body and commenced sucking his cock whilst he gradually ceased play and put the phone aside and we commenced “normal service”. In the morning and over room service breakfast we Laughed about the experience and the game which I think was some sort of early version of Candy Crush. It was One of my boy “adventures” which remains in my memory bank and causes me to smile as I reminisce about times gone by.

  37. From Thai PBS World “Royal Procession with the People” brings old tradition to life on screen Thailand and Korea share no borders and are 6 hours away by plane, yet everything Korean has become part of Thai life including music, food and TV series. The ties are further strengthened as trade and cultural exchanges grow and now the Thai public can also enjoy an art exhibition “imported” from South Korea at a Bangkok museum. Thailand’s Fine Arts Department and the National Museum of Korea are currently hosting an exhibition entitled: “A New Encounter : Immersive Gallery of Korean Art “ at the National Museum in Bangkok. The exhibition demonstrates how Thailand and Korea relate to each other, especially where the monarchy and religion are concerned. “We chose art dealing with the King and Buddhism because it can easily relate to Thailand,” said Korean curator Sumi Yang. The exhibition features two sections. The first focuses on a new encounter between Buddhist art from Korea and Thailand. Walking into the first exhibition room, visitors are “greeted” by Buddha statues in two corners – one from Korea and the other from Thailand. The Korean curator chose the 9th century Buddha statue made of granite while his Thai counterpart picked the 7th century Sirijava style Buddha statue made of sandstone for the exhibition. These two sculptures were created by different people and nations and are not from the same era, yet these two images of Avolokiteshvara Bodhisattva evoke the same sense of soothing human souls and offering hope for salvation. “Granite can be a difficult material to sculpt due to its coarse particles but it was the most common stone in ancient Korean Buddhist sculpture,” Yang said, adding that the sculpture shows bold abstract expressions whereas sandstone sculptures have softer and more delicate expressions. The 7th century Sirijava style Buddha statue made of sandstone. Thai and English details about the two Avolokiteshvara Bodhisattva are provided in text format for those who want to learn more about the two statues. For example, details on the statue’s headdress and ornaments of the “Buddha” are given. The Korean sculpture came from the National Museum of Korea while the Thai one is usually exhibited at the Bangkok museum. The Fine Arts Department handpicked the statue for the exhibition. After learning and experiencing the first section, visitors can move to a relatively more the colourful and “modern” exhibition – two immersive digital video works entitled “Journey of the Soul” and “Royal Procession with the People”. The video set reconstructs the set of “The Ten Kings of Hell” Buddhist paintings from the Joseon Dynasty (1329-1910) and selected uigwe (the royal protocols of the Joseon Dynasty), which was inscribed in UNESCO’s Memory of the World programme in 2007, from the collection of the National Museum of Korea. A New Encounter : Immersive Gallery of Korean Art “ is on show in room 401 of the Maha Surashinganat Building at the National Museum in Bangkok from now until 21 May 2023. Taipei Info/Tips?

I returned from my Taipei trip last night. Frankly, to anyone worried about covid testing and quarantine - forget it. The whole trip was a breeze. I took China Airlines. We had to wear masks on the flight other than when eating the meal. No preflight checks at all. On arrival, every passenger was given a box of 4 self-test covid kits. You are supposed to test yourself in your hotel on arrival and then every two days. If your test is negative, you just throw the test kit away in the enclosed plastic bag. No need to report to anyone. You do get a note with your kit with the number fo call if you test positive. I never did and so just threw it away. Throughout the country, it is mandatory to wear masks other then when eating, drinking, attending a sauna or hot spring. I never saw anyone without a mask on public transport or in the malls or when walking on the streets. From the accents I heard, there were a lot of European tourists. I went to two hot springs, the gay one and one more upmarket one in a top hotel. Only saw one guy wear a mask there - and he looked pretty stupid. For anyone wanting to get to the hot spring frequented mosrly by gay guys, the name card for the taxi is posted above. Since there are about 10 hot springs close together and the taxi will drop you about 100 meters away, you can spot Huang Tzu with this sign at the entrance. Price remains NT$250 and you need two NT$10 cooins for the locker. The Red House was busy at the week-ends. One bar had a party with this enticing sign at the entrance - For my last Saturday, there was heavy rain and with most of the bars being outdoors albeit with canvas roofs there were not many customers around. If the weather is fine, the eye candy can be spectacular! Prices for the mid to lower end hotels seem to be slightly less than 3 years ago. I had no trouble bringing guests to the rooms I had in two different hotels, but then I did not have anyone stay overight. I cannot imagine it being a problem other than in the very top end establishments.

  40. Today I was really thrilled to be at the saunas during Brazil's debut in the World Cup. I had pictured 202 full of people, celebrating each time their team scored. Management was offering a free caipirinha with the entry, and a round of free beer every time the team scored. Initially, it was a total disappointment. When I arrived, they were still cleaning up and I was the only visible client, plus one GP I was not interested in hiring. The turned the A/C for me, and I had the wait well after the match started for them to be ready to deliver a caipirinha. As I was watching the game, I noticed that there was probably more people upstairs. A few clients and GPs would pass by. A couple of the GPs came to introduce themselves but I was not interested in a programa with any of them. When the second half was close to finish and the national team's victory was clear, my Favela Boy texted me to let me know that he was coming, and that today it was his birthday. So I ordered a second caipirinha and some fries to munch while waiting. Once the game was over, the movement started. One of the guys I had been cruising the whole week came to introduce himself. Mineiro, I think every time I come to Rio I meet more Mineiros than Cariocas. The guy is beautiful, IG model quality but with some imperfections in his face that make him masculine and very sexy to me. We chat for a while. He is versatile and, when I told him that I was waiting for a friend, he asked me who he was. I told him the name of my Favela Boy, and he suggested that we could make a threesome. When we were having that conversation, I had the pleasure to meet @Xclay. We had been missing each other the whole week, and here we finally had the chance to shake hands and chat for 5 minutes. Literally five minutes, because shortly after he sat and I introduced him to my new Mineiro friend, my Favela beauty arrived. I asked him if he knew Mineiro, and I perceived something weird between them, so I dropped the plan to have a threesome. It was about 7, and I wanted to check out of my Airbnb at 8, so I did not waste time. I abandoned the Mineiro and Xclay and ran to get a suite. By the way, I got #7 for the first time, I think it is the best cabin in 202. Favela Boy's performance was even better than yesterday. He is not as skillful in bed as my Super Lover is. But Super Lover is 28 and Favela Boy was in his 21st birthday day. His lack of experience was generously compensated by his beauty. He was so passionate! When we finished, he asked me not to tell anyone that he was bottoming, because he did it only for me. Of course, it is bull shit, but adorable bull shit. In retrospective, this disclaimer was probably related to the Mineiro. We showered and I ran downstairs to catch the Mineiro and have a quick with him. But he was not visible at the bar and, when I watched the time, it was already 7:50. I just ran out, I do not even remember how much was the bill. I am right now in the airport, waiting to board my flight back to the States. As usual, when I feel I finished warming up and I am actually having fun, I have to leave Rio. I must find the way to stay here for at least a month. This is my last report in this thread. Thank you for reading.

Did you hear about BOLT? I'm told their rates are much better than GRAB in Bangkok. Here in Pattaya, BOLT has destroyed GRAB. Everyone uses BOLT. I would be interested to know the BOLT situation in Bangkok now. I will be heading up there next week myself.

  42. Hornet has more guys then grindr. I have met many guys in the airbnb in Istanbul center (affordable local hotels are not visitor friendly). Small terrace and view of the Bosporus strait. One really hot and fit guy liked older guys with bold head (I am), well I was happy to fulfill his fantasy. One guy was probably a thieve - he was nervous and strange, next day I realised my cc is gone, not sure when and how he managed. I saw in the banking app purchase attempts in the same evening.

  45. I do not perform, although part of my experimentation included sharing some videos of me in bed in my extinct JFF. Now I only write about porn. The pictures of me and Rhyheim out there show my face, and that is why I am discrete. Unlike you, I have no interest on sharing my image with no one, only my opinions and experiences. We are not best buddies with Big Bro, only good friends. Hopefully, you will love Brazil. Your will be visiting in a season I always avoided, too hot and too crowded for me.

  46. I do not expect them to be into me. I agree with you. I only expect them to have enough talent to make me believe they are, even if I know I am buying a fantasy. As I am aging, that talent is harder to find, but it is not an impossible mission.

  47. I cannot wait to finish with my teleworking, today is the last day! Yesterday, the plan was having diner with Rhyheim and friends. When I was about to head to Ipanema where the restaurante was located, Big Bro texted me to cancel. I was left with no plan. We connected with the friend @Xclay when he was on his Uber towards 117, but as I said before I do not think I want to visit that sauna again during this trip. Thursday is not a good day for Point, and I was not in the mood to try New Meio Mundo. So I dove into Grindr to hunt for free or paid sex, whatever. When I found a couple of interesting candidates who were asking me for 300 Rials, probably because they noted my profile in English, Gabriel texted me. He was working at Point but, of course, it was a slow night. This is why I wanted to rent close to Point. 15' after he texted me, he was buzzing from my building reception. We had an amazing session. Evidently, last Wednesday he was tired and drained and yesterday was fresh. Passionate, demanding, locking our eyes while he would voraciously ride my dick, the boy is a finding. He left about 10, and I decided to read a book before sleeping. I brought to read in this trip A Life of Lust, Memoirs of THE Porn Star, by Kevyn Mines. You probably know the author by his porn name, Venom. I may write a review for the blog, it is an OK reading if you are a fan. About 10:30, I got a new text message from Rhyheim. He was inviting me to witness a gang bang scene upstairs. Of course, I dropped my book, grab a beer, and headed to the elevator. Their cameraman welcomed me, got a quick chat with Rhyheim and a couple of the boys who were not in the stage area, was assigned a safe area to stay on to avoid being accidentally framed by the camera, and the scene started to rol. 10 guys fucking Brazilian bottom @blessed_xboy. It was a lot of fun being in the backstage observing the interactions and porn tricks to build the staged fantasy. My twits last night went out on real time. I share one above once I was back in my nest. Here you have another one: Hopefully, once I am done with teleworking I will have time to report on the experience. I have not published in my blog in a while, and now I have things to share. The guys ended working soon after midnight, all of them an amazingly friendly crew. I kissed them goodbye, and at 12:30 I fainted. Let's see what happens today.

I liked one named Tyler Wu who also appears on the free sites although he has his own paid ones. Until he got what I believe is called a Prince Albert - a ring at the tip of his cock. That's such a put down for me. Went right off him!

    Adam's Apple Club

I suspect @Fred Joos is the owner or in some way connected with Adam's Apple. If that is the case, thank you for updating the information. Adam's Apple was always a great bar, although there was a time when it dipped a little at the same time as it and the downstairs lounge bar were taken over by a new owner probably a dozen or so years ago. It was the variety of dancers and the helpful staff that made it the best of the few Chiang Mai gogo venues. The nude parade along the catwalk was always popular and the shows were fun, even though the boys were amateurs as performers. Drinks also were very reasonably priced. Hopefully little has changed.
