  1. I think we'd all agree that no mb should be forced by his mamasan to go with someone with whom he doesn't feel comfortable. I've consistently found Thais to be scrupulous about their own cleanliness.

I went Thursday night about 9:45. It was quite lively with 26 customers when I left just as the show was starting. About 16 boys in total. id say about 7 or 8 twinks, numbers 6, 19 and 30 particularly cute. I think if you prefer twinks, this is a good bar to find them. I was last there in August of 2020, most foreigners had gone back to their home countries and it was rather depressing, the whole scene at the time. What a difference a couple years make. Didn’t take away anyone from the bar but went to Super A and ordered a boy for take in. Used the room upstairs, they charge 700 baht. Never know who is there, the mamasan can show guys photo on her phone. I will say this, after having spent the week in Bangkok, Pattaya seems like a bargain. Specially the sleaze bars! Seems like Nature Boy and Super A have set high prices, which I failed to get lowered. That’s the problem with a short trip, harder to get guys contacts and repeat offs. Looking forward to Pattaya. Im very hopeful of this high season, both in Bangkok and Pattaya.

As a general rule, if you have sex in the bar you have to pay the off fee as well as what you would normally tip the guy if he were to go to your room. If the 1000 baht was collected from you on behalf of the guy, chances are he did not get it all. Is the long-haired ladyboy mamasan still there? She's a very nasty piece of work. She'll screw you for every baht if you let her. On one occasion she refused to hand over my change, insisting that I give it to her as a tip. In the end she gave it to me and in return I gave her a tip - you try that again and that will be the last time you ever see me in your bar. The tall, short-hair effeminate mamasan is just as bad.

You may test positive for month(s) - it does not mean that you are contagious. In the US our guidelines at work state that you can come back [to work] after 5 days of initial onset of symptoms and/or positive test (whichever the earliest) with a tight fitting mask for another 5 days, and without a mask thereafter. Speedy recovery and good luck!

It, s why I go to bars well prepared with change so I don, t need to wait for it, sometimes forever. Exception are Hotmale beer bar and Tawan as they kind of know me.

In general I think it's a very bad idea to have sex in bar , no privacy, awkward situation and yes most likely the guy didn’t got the whole fee he deserved.

I think they were just taking advantage of me. They were high pressure with drinks and if a guy come, it was 1,000 baht. I left a couple of nights spending in excess of 3,000 baht. It didn’t bother me , as I had survived traveling economy class and was ready to splurge so to speak. Definitely had fun there though. Usually closing the bar and they would chauffeur me in a tuk tuk to my hotel.

Absolutely, and when you book the room be sure to add 2 persons and write down the Person’s name in a message box, This always work for me. At the check inn, the person no needs to show up at the same time, but during the check inn, you write the person’s name on the register card. Enjoy, Columbian guys have good legs and beefy ass which I adore…..

    Report from Medellin

Occasionally, I found guys from an applications who are well educated, willing to share, discuss on many issues and had good arguments. We shared good laughs and behavior like being among friends. However, in the back of my head, I always assumed the younger guys expected me to pay for all expenses and sometimes gifts. Most cases, in my experiences, they also looking for a longer term relationship to supported them financially and other help. Ukrainian and Polish (students) especially, they didn’t ask me directly but I could feel or sense it. Being 50 plus, with decent looking, in good physique, I don’t have to pay for sex, with many ways of communication via internet, there are so much choices. However, paying for the services helps to ensure the quality of guys, age & type I prefer and the fun promises.

    Telemedicine

One of the good things that I found that come out of Covid was the number of hospitals and doctors in Bangkok doing telemedicine. There are some times you need something but don't need to go to the hospital. This happened to me recently and I was able to phone into the hospital and get the information I needed as well as prescriptions delivered to me within 3 hours. It made it really nice.

If you can afford it I wouldn't waste my time in Brussels and take the train around 1 pm to London. Business class check in is fifteen minutes and a lunch will be served at your seat & you'll arrive around 2 pm in London. After some fun in Villa Gianni, you can take the train back at 6 pm and you can have dinner on board.

Unfortunately sometimes people who have bad breath can’t tell. When I sniff my floss after using it, sometimes it’s bad. It’s easy to go noseblind to it. Same as colognes. Any fragheads here? I love Dior Suavage, even though it’s extremely popular.

  20. From the Thaiger The implementation of Thailand’s new cash deposit machine(CDM) rule will be postponed after customers complained it would cause unnecessary inconvenience and extra fees for people who do not use credit/debit cards. Currently, you can deposit cash into a bank account using a CDM with just an account number so long as the machine belongs to the same bank.

  22. if there’s one thing I’ve learned about Bangkok (this is, after all, Thailand), there are no absolutes. What is true today is not necessarily so tomorrow. I was sitting at the bar with PaulSF when the bartender related the news about the closing and how it would affect what they’ll do going forward. i agree that new district police commanders frequently exercise their authority as a way of announcing their arrival only to revert to same same once they’re known and established. Yesterday the cops closed all the massage shops on Silom Soi 6 at 16:00 only to allow them to reopen three hours later.

  27. Not only Adonis. I vaguely recall at least one other place that did that too, but the name of the place escapes me now. As for bar patrons wanting to bring their own beer into the premises, the bars can implement a cover charge, redeemable for the first drink. And each time a second drink is ordered, payment should be asked for immediately. Personally, I'd long wished for the bars to do away with the checkbin system and adopt a pay-as-you-go system. But given the ridiculous inefficiency of their cash handling and change-giving (deliberately, I know) they must also migrate to card payments at the same time. Or are they trying to hide revenue from the tax man?

  34. Hi guys, Although this will be my first post, I’ve lurked here for a few months and gotten a tonne of (hopefully) excellent tips from you all for my first trip to the LOS. Hoping that my little trip report is both a good exercise to remember my trip by, but also might give back and help others live vicariously, as I did. Some context for the trip – I’m from Australia, and lucky enough to be able to travel occasionally for for work, now that our country has opened up again. As far as SEA, I’ve been to Vietnam 10 years ago, but never to Thailand. I booked my whole stay at one hotel - the SO/ Bangkok. Firstly, it looks super nice online, and the number of nights adds up to the exact amount left in my work travel fund – convenient. Next, it’s near Silom, and whilst not super convenient to the two places I needed to be for work during my stay, it was roughly between the two of them, and close to the MRT, if I get brave. I had planned to go for a full 2-week stint, but just before I was due to depart, I’m forced to reschedule my departure date for a funeral. After that, the need to ‘get out’ and reset elsewhere is strong. I am damn glad I’ve got a holiday booked... Although I do have travel insurance (to be worked out later after I come back), in the meantime, I worry about how the delayed departure is going to abuse my credit card – if anyone has similar worries in the future, FYI Singapore airlines let me change but charge me a fair bit to do so (the only remaining seat is then an ‘upgrade’ from business to business-flex, so I pay more for the same thing). Turns out there’s little leniency for the sake of funerals. On the other hand, my SO/ Bangkok stay was booked as non-refundable, and I expected this to be a completely dead loss, but after I call/email them, they kindly convert the 5 wasted nights into hotel credit (for food, drinks etc.), which I am really grateful for. At least it’s something! I figure I can safely drown my worries from the rooftop bar on that credit. Day 0: getting there. After a rough couple of weeks at home, an all-day couple of flights, I land just before 7pm local time. Singapore airlines business class is as good as I’ve been told… the food and wine are all delicious. I follow the very good advice from the forum and grab my bags, then head down to the lower level airport rail and get my local currency from the cheaper downstairs booth. Go back upstairs and get a cab to my hotel. The driver and I struggle to communicate, but it works out ok. By the time I make it to the hotel and up to my room, it’s nearly 9. The SO/ Bangkok common areas are beautiful and cool and comfy, and the rooms thankfully continue this (nothing worse than a hotel which blows all their money on a lobby then has dingy, crap rooms!). The rooms are themed with ‘mystical elements’ (e.g. metal, water, wood) and I get assigned a wood room. I’ve paid for the lowest level of ‘just a room’, but it’s easily as big as a suite in the average Aussie hotel – absolutely huge. My city-view room also includes a view of the river. The room itself is very nice – huge bathroom with both a bathtub and a rain shower; beautiful wooden floors and panelling throughout, and plenty of space – definitely enough space to spend over a week and not feel claustrophobic. Complimentary (non-alcoholic) mini-bar, and a good chocolate and fruit platter shows up ~20 minutes after I get in. The room and view: I finally get a much-needed shower and then on to the apps. At home it’s at least 1-2am (4 hour time difference), and I’ve been up since 5am, so I’m wondering if I have the stamina to do anything or have anyone over. I am considering just going to bed when I get a message. Do I want a massage and fun for 󠇍1500 baht? Why even think about it? Yes, I do. We’ll call him “7-Eleven”, because that’s the symbol he has tattooed on the back of his neck (I don’t bother to ask why…). He shows up within 20 minutes, and is cuter than advertised. Heavily tattooed (I don’t have strong opinions on this like some others here do), short and tightly muscled. Washboard abs and a perky little ass – delicious. No trouble getting him into the hotel despite having to change elevators via the 9th floor lobby – nobody said a thing, we just wandered up. The massage was very good, with good coverage and pressure; relaxing and just therapeutic enough that I don’t fall asleep during. Afters are great, with a seamless transition, and he was vers as advertised. Afterwards, we have a little chat, and he uses our time to get a little impromptu English pronunciation lesion - gotta love a guy who is still trying to improve himself into the small hours of the morning! He tells me he normally massages at Banyan Tree, so anyone staying there is in for a treat. After a 22 or so hour day, thankfully the beds are also great. 😴

  35. Day 4/5/6: Less to describe these days, as work has begun. I have had to reduce the exploring to accommodate. Have stuck to the apps and had some repeats, rather than going into the thick of the bars. Day 4 I rustled-up a delightful non-MB local on Scruff, who was a bonus excellent conversationalist, with plenty in common to talk about. Day 5 I organised a repeat with K, the particularly good masseur from day 3. He showed up ready for everything, as requested, and was an absolute delight. I might even go back for thirds… Day 6 Work but then also went and had dinner at what is apparently an offshoot of Gaggan, a hatted restaurant that people back home are telling me I have to try. This one was called Ms Maria and Mr Singh, in Ekkamai. It was Indian and Mexican fusion, run by a couple of each origin. Although I was initially dubious about the combination, it turned out to be incredible. Lots of good fusion options such as paneer quesadillas, and chicken tikka tacos. It also had a really nice, relaxed vibe, and I was told the mescal was excellent. I can definitely recommend for anyone looking for something different! Getting back to the hotel at midnight, I am too tired to do anything other than another order-in massage from the delightful little Laotian 7/11 from night 1. Just as good as before, and he’s paid attention to what worked the first time. He tells me he’s just spent 7 hours on a bus doing a visa run to Cambodia, but somehow still has energy to spare. Time is running short now, though… I will be stepping out for my final days for sure.

ATM's are the easiest ....try to have more than 1 account in case anything goes wrong with 1, you have backup. I pay cash for everything....never heard of cloning problems here but cash is easier (hotels are generally paid online beforehand) and be careful of the 500 baht note, don't confuse them with the 100's, lol Don't forget the drinks at the gogo bars, yours and whomever you talk to whether you off them or not....plus tips, it adds up.

    Egypt update

I don't know about masseurs - I was in Egypt during covid. Looks like toilet adventures should really be avoided - on my trip, 2 out of 3 times the toilet story featured a police officer. But, you should pay attention to the cleaners of the hotel rooms - in my case, they showed their interest by bringing additional water on their own initiative (in any case, there is never a lot of water in Egypt). And also, on taxi drivers - a long trip with a young driver always leads to a conversation about sex (provided that you are interested in this topic). Once you blow the driver (in my case), the next day you will have 1 or 2 young taxi drivers waiting for you at the exit of the hotel, ready to take you on a long ride today or maybe tomorrow. You can look for entertainment at night on the beach, but I do not advise. At night, in the far corner of the beach at my hotel, local guys, including hotel workers, gathered and smoked hashish on sun loungers. Maybe the general wariness would not have allowed us to establish contact, but in my case I was already drinking beer on a sun lounger, and they had already filled their joint and darkness was the best friend of youth.

  40. Day 2: Wake up at a blessedly normal local time, and lie in bed for a while idly browsing the apps. I didn’t have a particular plan for a morning delight, but chat briefly to a couple. Then I get a special message… I had been remotely browsing near my hotel from home for a couple of weeks and had an eye kept particularly on a guy I recognised from Emiel’s recent report. A delicious six-pack and a good review, I had planned to hit him up at some point, but fate decided it would be today, because he messaged me first. 2000 for massage and fun - ok! We arrange for him to visit after breakfast. No false profile here- just as good, if not better in person. He’s also very friendly and polite. Massage is excellent, great pressure and technique. His profile said vers, but sadly he says he’s shown up unprepared to bottom and promises “next time”. I get his line, and promise to hold him to that… Regardless a very good start to my day. Thanks for the tip, @emiel1981 I hang around the hotel pool for most of the day, then after dinner I get a Grab to Tawan. There’s a huge selection on there for the Saturday night, with 25+, and plenty of customers - enough that the boys keep getting ousted from their chairs to make more room. Mostly everyone is in good shape, and pretty huge, with only 2 slimmer guys who would still count as “twunks”. Many will be happy to know that jockstraps are still the mainstay, and they look fantastic. The off goes to the most enthusiastic of the night, who immediately makes their intentions known. I make them wait though, and say I plan to see the show. Show is entertaining, although too much drag for what I want for the night. There’s also a good sinuous body paint number, a BDSM spanking show, a few rounds of flexing, and a fuck show, which is pretty hot for a newbie like me. I give the bottom a tip which he takes between his teeth whilst being bent over my lap (Jeez..!), then my new friend Ten and I head out. 500 bar fine, 400 per drink, and 2500 for Ten. Then back to the hotel where I definitely get my money’s worth. Awkwardly, on getting back we run into 7/11 in the lobby, clearly leaving from another client, although he professes otherwise. He tells me later he’s upset with me- I might have to make it up later

  42. A good move by the Anti-Money Laundering Office. Thailand has become a bit of a hub for laundering over the last decade, cash deposit ATMs without any identity verification were likely a useful tool in that. A major Australian bank in recent years was fined by our regulator for facilitating money laundering by allowing cash deposit ATMs to run transactions to accounts over the AML limits without any flagging or checks by the bank. These ATMs are a bit special where you can put cash in a chute, key in the account you want it deposited to, then just walk away and the money is added to that account.

When people make negative comments about gays, I just ignored them, and I divert their attention to the corruption of the church itself, most of them would shut up. I don't belong to one particular church. But I pray, I listen to gospel songs and catholic chants everyday. I visit and pray at many beautiful cathedrals when I have the chance.

    Report from Medellin

I am, of course, paying all shared expenses while we are together: hotel, food, transportation, entries. However, he neither asked for - nor hinted at - money and gifts. In fact, at our first meeting he brought me a gift, and insisted on paying the bar bill. As mentioned in my first pre-trip report, this is my second such rare stroke of luck. 6 years ago I met in an identical manner a young professional in Barranquilla. We have since travelled together three times, with him paying some of his own expenses. There ARE exceptions out there. I dont think many here are used to hooking up with a chico who can discuss the situation in Sri Lanka, or who knows that the Jewish temple in Jrslm was destroyed twice. Apparently a minority is interested more in personal companionship with a gringo who seems nice and interesting (author excluded) than in benefits.

  47. Perhaps this clarification is unnecessary, I am just double checking you do not have unrealistic expectations. What do you mean by "non-commercial-sex bf material"? I understand he may not be a prostitute, but I would only expect transactional sex from a hook up app contact. By transactional, I mean that you will be expected to pay all bills, and treat the man. They goal is almost always to meet a Sugar Daddy.

In Morocco there is no doubt: strictly forbidden. In Morocco it is even by law forbidden for a moroccan to enter hotelrooms. You will not pass the reception with a guest. And even if you rent a flat sometimes the "gardiens" of the building forbid your guest to enter. You can always try your luck if there is no guard but then beware of "nosy" neighbours. Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt have about the same hotel policy. Years ago in Egypt it was easy if you took a room in a 5-star hotel with a very busy lobby. Although I was sometimes suprised that there was another "guard" on every floor to check who entered the rooms and now they put up some cameras. When I was with a Tunesian friend in desert oasis he was just 5 minutes in my room for a drink and there was a knock on the door and he had to leave! But in another little hotel in Tunisia there was also a knock on my door at night, and there was a cute bell boy with a fresh bottle of water. It was obvious that here was horny like hell when saw me standing there half naked. Those are the "little adventures" that seem to happen in many Arab countries, often with hotel staff (always horny and bored). Especially in Egypt you come across these guys: camel drivers in the desert, tempel guards, museum guards, horse drivers, shopkeepers... In Jordan many men gave the special "hidden" handshake, they tickled the palm of your hand with their middle finger...meaning "I like you so let's have some fun if possible" and hotel policy was more loose compared to the Maghreb. In Bahrain and the Emirates nobody at the reception cares about visitors in your room....you could take a goat up to the room without having a problem :-)). Same goes for Oman and Yemen. No problems with a visitor.
